This session encourages group discussions on a number of case studies gathered from the community - to allow everyone to benefit and learn from the experience without having to have the initial negative outcomes.

If students have had years to get used to lecture-memorise-exam-pass-next, then trying to introduce flipped elements late in the game is going to be met with extreme resistance - in this case, open rebellion.

The biggest challenge to me would have been getting approval to introduce innovative active approaches at all! Students are used to learning content via lectures so this takes them out of their comfort zone

Give all staff £10 credit for the coffee shop every semester on a use it or lose it basis. Can only be redeemed two coffees at a time!
How to clearly communicate? Talk staff and students all back to primary school and teach them "how to write a letter".
