-Ranking: #4

-21st Century Learner Skill(s): Communication, Creativity, and Critical Thinking

-Learning curve/easy to figure out: It is easy to figure out. Students create writing portfolios by writing journals and commenting on topics that the teacher decides to post for the day. Students are given a variety of topics to write about.

-Best for what subjects/grades: Middle school and higher education/ English

-I can integrate this technology tool into my curriculum by having students commit to a QuickWrite every day in the beginning of class. Although, I am a future math teacher, I find it very important to implement writing in every subject because it allows students to be expressive and communicate their feelings and ideas. It encourages creativity and refreshes the mind.

It is decently easy to figure out because there are tabs on the side.

-Best for what subjects/grades: High school and higher education/ Science, Math, English, History

-This tool can be integrated into my curriculum especially when I have Guest Teacher's covering my class. It makes sure that students are on task even if I am not there. I can track student progress and which student is slacking off. This tool is useful for online resources dealing with the lesson. I can give quizzes through this tool and students can complete them at home. It is also a neat tool that allows me to differentiate instruction for advanced learners. For example, versal allows students to create their own courses to demonstrate learning. Overall, this tool is neatly designed and simple.

Present-day educators are learning a variety of ways to implement technology in the classroom to increase student engagement. Flipgrid is a great tool that teachers use to prompt a question for class participation, sort of like a discussion/forum, and students create a mini video of themselves responding to the prompt. Other classmates can reply back creating a video response.
