I liked the fact that students were able to search that day stories from Finland to pitch. Applying the lesson learned in such a short time it shows they I have succeeded on delivering it.
Two students were not able to participate in discussions, because they were not confident on using their English language. Agreeing with their professor to use English during the lecture and seminar made me to believe that students had no problem with it. Maybe I should have asked students myself before the lecture and seminar to find a solution if the language was an obstacle for the students to participate.

As the lecture and the seminar was done at the same day, I designed 10 questions to cover both teaching situations.
Out of 18 students that answered about the lecture, 1 was "very satisfied", 16 were "satisfied" and 1 OK. None of the was "dissatisfied" or "very dissatisfied".
For 4 of them the lecture was "very much" relevant and helpful, 11 found it relevant and helpful, while 1 said is OK. None of them had a negative opinion.
One of them thinks the content (presented and pre-read material) was excellent. 8 others think was very good and 3 of them found it as simple OK.
Their key take away from this lecture were:
"A good journalist seeks a solution for the problem she is writing about".
"You should'n't focus on the negative".
"SoJo is almost always positive news".
"It's always good to keep questioning things".
"You can write positive articles without ignoring the issues".
"Solutions can make the bad news good".
"We need solutions to make a change".

Asked to compare the relevance of the lecture and seminar, 11 say the lecture and 5 find the seminar.
Two of them wrote an additional feedback about the seminar: One says

"Fun, creative exercise".

Out of 12 students that shared their time to answer, 3 of them were very satisfied with lecture, five satisfied and 4 OK. None of them expressed a negative opinion.
6 of them find the lecture very much relevant and helpful for their studies. Respectively 3 students think is important and 3 say is OK.
One student thinks the content presented and pre-read material is excellent, 8 say is very good and 3 others say OK.
From this lecture, students have their key take away:

"Answer the HOW, show evidence, change your thinking/approach".
"Concentrate on the question WHY".
"People got fed up and exhausted with negativity. You should offer solutions, so there is not excuse not to fix issues".

None of them had a negative reaction. All students find both, the lecture and seminar very relevant.
Additional feedback on the seminar brings some contradictory views or perceptions among students:
"The slides were clear and informative".
"There was maybe too much repetition of the same things".
"Don't go through the slides too fast! Give us some time to ingest the information and write some key notes".
"Analyses at an article representing SoJo-style might give more insight of its goals and means to achieve it".
On the other section where I seek students additional comments regarding Solutions Journalism they are very enthusiast about it:
"Useful information on how to think and what to consider as a journalist".
"I would like this to become a trend in journalism and replace the negative news".
"It should be discussed more in our school".
"Interesting and important form of journalism".
"As a negative person, thinking through the solution is a peculiar idea, one that I should include on my tool pack".
"It might be a challenge sometimes to tell the difference between a solution ans someones opinion at one".
