The shape is skewed right meaning the majority of dollars spent is more towards the lower end of the scale. The center of the box plot is $31.27, which is the middle of the data range, also known as the median. The spread of the data set begins with the smallest non-outlier to the largest non-outlier. This range in the box plot is from $2.32 to $135.54. The IQR is 36.0725, which is the distance between the first quartile and third quartile. This is the area where the dollars spent at the grocery store remain the most consistent.

In a histogram you get to see the total amount of data entered shown on the Y axis where as in a box plot you don't necesarilly know how many or in this case the frequency in such a deep level. It also shows the specific dollars spent at a grocery store, where the box plot doesn't show the prices at such a precise rate. Histograms are also in bar graph form which is why you see all the data in more detail compared to a bar graph.
