It is also pack with Malaysian+British culture and history. British as seen on the exterior of the building while the interior shows the different architectural culture of Malaysia. I realised that measuring and documenting are not as easy as they seem. Besides, I met new people/friends during the site visit because some of my group members are seniors from sem3. We finished measuring early because we already divided the group works earlier before going to the site visit. What I feel about the place is that the ventilation for the interior spaces are poor, especially for the ball room, it is kind of smelly. Also, I never expected the process of measuring the building would be this tiring, but honestly it was a good experience for me. I feel sorry for my group mates because I could not complete the site visit till 27th of January with the rest of the members, dure to the Chinese New Year holiday and I have bought my air ticket, and had to leave earlier.

The building was huge, making it seems to be impossible to complete the task. Some of the documents and blueprints are untraceable as the building has a 47 years of history. We had to start from the scratch and collect the information along the way of our research. We had to climb through the windows, walking along the ledges to get the accurate measurements of the building. The process was tough but the effort is definitely rewarding.

I found it very interesting as the club is located around Dataran Merdeka and a lot of other tourist site. It is a huge building where we share with another 2 groups. I am handed the job to measure the site plan and site section of the building. Which i need to observe the surrounding of the site carefully. The surrounding and outer part of the building have a Malaysia and British vibe. Those design is almost the same with the style i saw before in Cameron Highland. I also learn to work together with my teammates and other groups member as we need to share information to really complete the whole building. The process there is quite tiring but i feel rewarded after everything is done. A suspense. Finally, with tremendous effort, we get to complete our measuring exercise and also gained a new understanding towards the spirit of the place and its cultural aspects of the place in relation to the history of Kuala Lumpur. The building is huge and its interior is well designed, yet so artistic. Talking about something interesting would be the hidden room located at the second floor. There is a broken chair left sitting next to a window. No lighting at all. Rubbish were scattered all around. I have no idea at all why the management did not take good care of that room. Perhaps there is something to be undiscovered by the public. Pffffft.
