In tutor time, students are creating their own presentations on Black British Icons which they will deliver to their tutor groups. 

Mrs Wright, our librarian, has produced a timeline display in our library which includes information on significant Black authors, as well as a fabulous display of books written by contemporary Black authors.

In yr 9 students explore a wide range of artists throughout the course including Jenny Saville and Georgina Luck.

International Women's Day is on 8th March 2022. Northstowe students will have the opportunity to learn about the significance of this day and to research historically significant women as part of their PREP and enrichment opportunities.

We will investigate the role of slave rebellions led by individuals such as Samuel Sharpe in bringing an end to the Slave Trade.
