      <description>With access to the internet, we are fed more misinformation than ever. So I thought that I would discuss a topic that I have past experience with, and hopefully bring some awareness to the issue of fasting. Aside from the religious practice of fasting on certain times of the year, it is also commonly used as a method to lose weight. </description>

Many believe that they must look a certain way to feel accepted, or pretty. This can lead to unhealthy habits, such as fasting. This can cause an unhealthy relationship with food to develop and cause various health issues. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Though there are risks to fasting, the concept of it is not all bad. There are some pros that come from it, though in my opinion, the cons outweigh them. Intermittent fasting (short periods of time) can help to lower blood sugar or blood pressure. Other than the few benefits, there has been a narrative pushed by some that fasting is a good thing to practice. Mostly to lose weight in their opinions. </p>]]></description>
