I enjoy playing pickleball with my friends and family. Being at ISU, I haven't been able to play as much. I got to play with my mom over winter break in Maryland where it was warmer than Indiana! I'm trying to spend more time on hobbies this year like scrapbooking, sewing, hiking, reading, and running.

May 2023- I got married!

I married my high school sweetheart, Luke! This was a big transition in our lives since we were not only getting married, but also living together for the first time. About a week after our wedding we moved to Terre Haute.

September 2023- New Puppy

In September, we rescued our mini goldendoodle. We named him Tuco Salamanca after our favorite show, Breaking Bad. This is the first dog I've ever owned.

Oct 2023- Long Distance

In October, my husband had to report to Quantico, Virginia for 7 months of training (and a little more after that) since he's a newly commissioned Marine Corps officer. Living by myself (with our dog) has been a new experience! Thankfully, with our school schedule, I am able to visit him every 1-2 months.

April/May 2024

I will finish finals in time to go to Luke's graduation from training! In April or May we will also be finding out where we will be living for the next 3-4 years! I am very excited to find this out and hoping I can work out my fieldwork sites to be closer together.

Dec 2025- Graduation + Moving

After graduation, I will be moving away from Indiana for the first time in my life to be with Luke wherever he gets stationed! I am really excited to experience life in a new place, especially if that place has warmer weather! I'm already slightly dreading packing all my stuff up though.

2019- Shadowing

I shadowed an occupational therapist for the first time in 2019. I observed a hand therapist. It wasn't my favorite setting, but it led to hours of research and lining up several other shadowing experiences in other settings. I'm so thankful I found this career and didn't go into athletic training or physical therapy. :)

2004- Upward Soccer

My parents signed me up for Upward soccer and cultivated a love for sports and competition. I played soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, track and field, and softball. My main sports were soccer and tennis in high school. My mom and I have always had a special bond over sports, whether going to watch games together, playing pickleball/tennis when I visit, or competing in our March Madness brackets.

2022- Parents Move

My dad, who's in the Air Force, accepted a job in Maryland for a promotion. They got an apartment in Bowie, MD, but kept our house in Indianapolis. I was still in college at Purdue. This transition hit me harder than I expected and I felt like I really was separated from my parents. When I came home on random weekends, they often weren't around. This has turned out to be an immense blessing since their apartment is only an hour from where my husband is currently stationed! We've gotten to stay with them for free instead of having to pay for an Airbnb or hotel, meaning I stayed for 3 weeks over this Christmas break!
