         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>P5= Text Structure:</strong> This lesson introduces the students to different short informational passages and topics followed by MCQ's to identify the text structure. It introduces the skill of text structure. The aim of this lesson is to strengthen the students to better acquire the skill, target and practice it through a worksheet that includes different passages with different text structures.<br> &nbsp;</div><div><strong>In this lesson, students studied, learned and practiced the following:<br></strong>1- <strong>Engage: </strong>brief introduction of the skill with a quote related to it to engage students and encourage them to paraphrase it, state their opinions and justify their answers though a short panel discussion. Students have shown deep understanding of the topic given, ability to read between the lines and provide good comments. (5 min.)</div><div>&nbsp;2- <strong>Explore &amp; Explain:</strong> display a short instructional video of maximum 3 to 5 minutes to <em>explore </em>on their own about the skill of identifying the text structure. Though the video introduces the explanation of the skill in short time; however, it was enough to communicate it in a well-explained way, followed by a panel discussion to test their understanding. (3 -5 min.)<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;3- <strong>Elaborate:</strong> solve and answer a worksheet with leveled critical thinking questions as per the DOK’s level to reflect and analyze their deep understanding of the skill. The main activity follows the learning process where students are to read short informational passages and sentences and identify the text structure of each passage. <em>(25-35 min)</em></div><div>4- <strong>Evaluate:</strong> use an Exit Ticket to check the student’s understanding on the platform quizizz.com which is not only handy and practical, but also effective.&nbsp; (5 min.)</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>General Feedback:</strong><em><br></em>Students were given the right amount of time to show their abilities based on their level. The Padlet's final section is not only useful and practical, but also successful in assessing pupils' knowledge of the learned skill. The majority of the students performed excellently in their class work, achieving a full mark (5/5). As in the quiz evaluation, the overall score attained was 80 %= <strong>GOOD.<br></strong><br></div><div><strong>Students to Focus: Suhail Salem and Youssef S. can get extra practice to better achieve a higher attainment in the skill as each got 2/5 and 1/5 respectively.</strong>&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

The Padlet's final section is not only useful and practical, but also successful in assessing pupils' knowledge of the learned skill. The majority of the students performed excellently in their class work, achieving a full mark (10/10).
