UNDERSTANDING AND SUPPORTING ALL TYPES OF CULTURAL DIFFERENCES IN ALL STUDENT LEARNERS: HOW DO CHILDREN REALLY LEARN? by ashley leimberger

Shouldn't we be encouraging strengths in all different types of learners? Meaning, teach children how to think for the future, teach them how to relate what they learn to their real world. Students and people learn so differently, why do we still teach as if everyone learns the same? What are other countries of mass diversity doing that's working so well for their booming educational systems??

When should books be introduced to children? We send our kids to preschool (at the age of 3) and then by the age of 5 in Kindergarten they have to not only be able to write their names, but also spell, create sentences, read small sentences and phrases. Are we pressuring them too early? Are they developmentally prepared?
