Anubis was a important god in Egyptian times. Egyptians respected the dead and included many practices for the afterlife. Anubis took an important role for burial and encouraged Egyptians to lead good lives and take burial seriously. Without Anubis, burial and mummification might not have been the same. He decided if the person was good and deserved good, or bad and deserved to be punished. As a sign of respect, Anubis was often put on the Egyptian tomb walls for the dead.

Yet I am not rating Anubis an A+ since he was replaced by Osiris. Even after being replaced, Anubis still maintained association with the dead.
