         <title>Paranthropus Robustus</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Paranthropus robustus is one the first ancestors of the Pan Genus that lived 1.8 million years ago and originates from the australopithecine genus. These species grew up to 4'4 and 88 lb for males and 3'7 and 66 lb for females and most likely lived in the Savannah, just like their Pan counterparts. These species have been discovered as having heavily built skulls capable of forceful bites as well as having inflated molars. Studies have shown that P.Robustus had a somewhat decent-sized brain and most likely possessed the ability to walk. Although they most likely were bipedal, their bodies were more suited for tree movement. P.Robustus also most likely used bones as weapons or tools for food, just like ancient humans.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>Australopithecus Africanus </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The next early hominin related to the modern-day chimp is Australopithecus Africanus which lived around 3.3 million years ago in South Africa in a gallery forest, which is a forest surrounded by grassy flat lands. Just like P.Robustus, A.Africanus possessed large and thick cheek teeth. Males on average were 4'7 at 88 lb and females were 4'1 at 66 lb, similar to the P.Robustus. A.Africanus was Bipedal but also had similar traits to species that lived in trees, making its lifestyle unclear as to whether it remained on its legs or in the tree. However, a mix of both lifestyles is most likely.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>Orrorin Tugenensis </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Orrorin Tugenensis lives around 5.8 million years ago with fossils being found in East Africa. Little is known about O.Tugenensis as a connection to Homo or Pan has yet to be established. O.Tugenensis shares are little to no traits with the early hominid great-apes, from which Pan and Homo evolved from. O.Tugenensis seems to have developed bipedalism however, a lifestyle in the trees seems to be most likely as to how it lived.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>Sahelanthropus Tchadensis </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Sahelanthropus Tchadensis lived around 7 million years ago and is said to be related to O.Tugenensis, and later the ancestor of the chimp. Research has shown that the S.Tchadensis lived during the hypothesized time of when the Homo-Pan divergence happened. Its relation to both Homo and Pan places it as an early Hominini that lived in Chad, the same place where their fossils were found. S.Tchadensis is suspected to have been bipedal however, it's unlikely that the species always walked around on two legs its whole life. S.TChadensis had a small skull and a similar cranial capacity similar to that of the Chimpanzee. These creatures have flatter faces and a brow line more noticeable than their later descendants.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>Graecopithecus Freybergi </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Graecopithicus Freybergi is known as one the least known early hominoid as the only fossil found so far was a jawbone with a molar attached. Graecopithicus lived around 7.5 million years ago and lived in Southern Europe and is also a contender for the earliest latest common ancestor of Homo and Pan, along with&nbsp;S.Tchanensis. Not much can be said as to what this creature looked or acted like. However, it can be speculated that it was similar to the S.Tchadensis and wasn't a normal bipedal. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Oreopithecus Bambolii </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Oreopithecus Bambolii lived 9 million years ago in Italy in around swampy areas and was one of the first early migrants of the early apes to migrate to Europe. Just like the rest of Pan Troglodyte ancestors so far, the O.Bambolii had similar features such as a flat face and similar jaw/molar bones. Research has shown that O.Bambolii was in fact a bipedal but wasn't capable of producing long strides, making them slow. Physical characteristics such as their feet have been shown to be very similar to that of the Chimp. However, this creature has been stated to lack features that would have made it a natural bipedal.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Dryopithecus lived 14 million years ago in Europe and were relatively small with males weighing up to 100 lb. Dryopithecus is suspected to have been aggressive and had a greater reliance on quadrupedalism, similar to the chimp. Dryopithecus teeth were similar to those of the modern-day chimp with small teeth and small enamel, with a face similar to the Gorilla, and an upper arm similar to the bonobo. The Dryopithicus most likely lived in the Mediterranean area and so far, resembles Pan the most.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Sivapithecus lived around 12 to 16 million years ago and lived in Asia in a savannah environment and is seen as an ancestor to the modern-day Orangutan. Sivapithecus was around 5 feet tall with a body resembling that of a Chimpanzee and a face resembling an Orangutan. This genus most likely spent most of its time on the ground as a quadrupedal, however, it has been shown to live in the trees. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Proconsul lives around 21 to 28 million years ago and most likely lived in Eastern Africa in open grassland. The Proconsul is said to be a common ancestor of both Homo-Sapians and the rest of the great apes. However, it's important to mention that Proconsul is not the last common ancestor of Homo and the great apes. The Proconsul genus has many similarities to apes and the old world monkeys such as having a monkey-like quadrupedal stance and a lack of a tail and similar facial structures to apes. Proconsul also shares its name origins with the Chimpanzee as its name "Proconsul" means Before Consul. Consul was a name given to performing Chimpanzees in Paris and so the name essentially means before the Chimpanzee.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>Pan Troglodyte</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Pan Troglodyte also known as the Chimpanzee is one of two species of the genus Pan, along with Pan Paniscus or the Bonobo. The Chimpanzee and the Bonobo are our closest living relatives and inhibit similar traits to Homo Sapiens. The Chimp is native to the Savannahs of Africa, where Homo and Pan most likely split apart.<br><br>&nbsp;Today, the Chimpanzee currently faces habitat loss, hunting, slow reproduction, and human disease as their biggest threat. Chimpanzees are currently endangered and as the human population continues to, their problems and threats will continue to grow to the point where they might face extinction. The future for the Chimpanzee needs to be paved and I believe the best way the Chimpanzee can survive into the future would be to develop a better immune system and a better body suited for bipedalism. and reproduction. A better immune system would allow the chimpanzees to possibly resist some human diseases and allow them to live longer. A slimmer hip and mid-section as well as stronger legs could make the Chimpanzee similar to us in the sense of bipedalism and reproduction, which would give them faster time to reproduce as they could use their bipedalism to possibly evade more predators. I also think one of the best things Chimpanzees could evolve into would be bigger heads and greater brain capacity. Chimpanzees are already intelligent and related to us humans, which makes the increase in brain capacity likely and gives them a great advantage in the wild, as it did us hundreds of thousands of years ago.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
