I am about to start my second year teaching resource math to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at (2) Thompson Middle School in Quinlan, Texas. (3) I am taking this course because this professional development offered a variety of instruction methods and utilizes blended learning which is something I have been working on implementing in my classroom. I have gone to a couple of workshops over the topic, but am hoping to gain more insight on the logistics of blended learning by actually participating in it.  (4) In this course, I am looking forward to building upon my knowledge in special education. Namely, I am really excited to build on skills in the IEP process, not just writing. I also look forward to offering more meaningful supports to students on my caseload. Several of the IEP's I saw and even wrote offered plenty of the "same" accommodations, but I was finding that those accommodations may need to be implemented differently.
