All applications for leave must be made by completing a Leave of Absence form at least 4 weeks in advance, explaining the circumstance surrounding the request. In making the decision about whether to authorise the leave, school will consider the circumstances of each application individually, including the student’s attendance record.

Later this week, year 12 Criminologists were invited to UCP to attend Social Sciences degree taster sessions where by they made an ideal society using Lego and other materials. The lecturers were so impressed with the excellent use of theory and creativity the students displayed. Students were then invited into the crime scene bungalow to solve a crime; a person has passed away, what happened? This was led by an experienced detective and lecturer. The students asked superb questions and used evidence effectively to construct their theories. The students were a credit to the college. Huge thanks to UCP for organising such an amazing day.  

This weeks Heads Commendations went to:

Brandon R, Finley S, Dray S and Charlie P for being an amazing help raising money for Cancer Research by selling our green glasses.

George P in year 7 He took part in the Cambridgeshire County Development Swimming Championships 20/21 June at Manor Leisure Centre in Whittlesey at the weekend. He did brilliantly well. George competed in 10 races over the 2 days,  6 x Personal Bests  which included sub 6 minutes for 400m freestyle, but also got 4 medals.  A gold, silver & 3 x Bronze for his age category (12).

Dilon S, Gerald B, Davinia L, Harrison W, Logan E and Kai H in year 9 In recognition for your brilliant participation and contributions to the ARU and Cambridge Oracy Workshop. Well done.

Frederick S in year 10 for attending a GCSE after school session. He was the only one in the class that attended.

Indy C, Dray S, Finley S, Kayleigh F and Najwa A in year 10 for representing the school so well in Hunstanton last week and collecting high quality data for the rest of the class. Really impressed!

Lucas T in year 9 for an exceptional achievement in your final ever Drama assessment. Not only planning and executing a fantastic sound and lighting plan to enhance the group performance but for performing in front of your peers in character too. I am exceptionally proud of the confidence displayed and of how far you have come on your Drama journey!! Well done!

Iris M in year 7 for breaking the City Championship record for the 1500m run for a Year 7 Girl at the Peterborough City Athletics Championships, with a time of 5.40.53s, congratulations.

Amber W in year 10 for an outstanding GCSE assessment only 'dropping' 2 marks across the Early Elizabethan England exam attaining a Grade 9.
