I can now describe my classes, including the type of classwork we have, the difficulty of the course, and how I perceive the teachers. Along with school, I can elaborate on how I found my apartment, and describing how my apartment is set up. An important aspect of this class was learning to describe my family, because they were used for many other units of the class as well as having numerous practical uses. Everyone has to do something with their time, so it's very useful that now (after Spanish II) I can describe how I spent my time-doing what, with who, at what place. A major part of Spanish culture is the food, so it is very useful that I can now express my experiences at restaurantes (which are also a major part of Spanish culture), and describe how my food was made and how it tasted. If I am ever able to visit Spain, buying items for remembering my time there will be vital - so being able to communicate how much something costs and what it looks like is extremely important to me that I am now able to do.

A major difference is the nouns possessing a gender. In Spanish, you have to change the pronouns and adjectives, among other things, in order to accommodate the gender of a noun - while none of this occurs in English. Another major difference is the conjugation of verbs. In Spanish, when conjugating the verb you have to accommodate for whether it's first, second, or third person and whether it's plural or singular. In English, it's as simple as just adding an "-ing" or "-ed" while keeping only the tense of the verb in mind. For me, the most interesting aspects revolved around either art and literature or food. I have always had an appreciation for art, and whenever I travel to a metropolitan area I visit any art museums that they may have. Spain has such a rich history for artists, like Picasso, and the Spanish people have an appreciation for it (which I have a hard time finding here). I also enjoy exploring different dishes and types of food, and Spain is full of interesting dishes that I have never had before. I've taken Latin I and II, Personal Finance, Psychology, and this class. None of them were as difficult as Spanish - even though it was a class of little difficulty when I took it face-to-face. Learning a language online is quite difficult, because a major part of any language is face-to-face communication and conversations. Latin was even more difficult, because speech is not something that is part of that language anymore, it being dead. Spanish pronunciation was most likely the most difficult part for me. I feel as though I was able to really develop my writing, since so much of the conversation part of Spanish wasn't able to happen with an online class. My vocabulary in Spanish greatly expanded, and I'm more aware of the grammar rules in Spanish than I was before I took this class, which I am very grateful for. The only thing about this class that I disliked is the lack of being able to work on my pronunciation. It was worked on as much as the online classroom environment allowed - with the Hablar and Audio Discussion assignments. In the future, I just need to ensure that I am just as dedicated to learning Spanish. She was almost always available if I contacted her with a problem, and if she wasn't then she contacted me as soon as she became available. She also provided extremely useful and constructive feedback when I missed something on an assignment, that I could then use to correct it. I have very little complaints/improvements about her teaching, but there is one thing that I noticed that might help. Yo tenía química primero, y mi profesor de química era muy divertido pero era no útil. Mi segunda clase era la historia de los EEUU, y la clase era muy fácil pero pesada. Mi tercera clase era español, mi profesora de español era mi favorita. Ella era interesante y informativa. Finalmente, yo tenía cálculo. Cálculo era mi clase menos favorita. La clase de cálculo era difícil, exigente, y aburrido.

¡Me encantó mi piso en España! Estaba en el centro, por el metro, y en buen estado. Yo encontré en un avisos clasificados en el periódico. Yo tenía dos camas, un baño y una cocina. Yo tuve a barrer el piso en la cocina con una escoba cada semana.

Mi familia en España era pequeña. Estaba mi madre, mi padre, y mis dos hermanas. Mi madre era guatemalteca y hablaba español, francés, y un poco inglés. Mi madre era médica. Mi padre era un artista, y él era madrileño. Él sólo hablaba español. Mis hermanas estaban muy generosa. Acacia era creativa, y ella era aprendiendo japonés en la escuela. María era muy inteligente, y ella hablaba español y inglés.

Yo era en la escuela el lunes, martes, miércoles, jueves y viernes. El sábado mañana, yo iba a mi panadería favorita para desayunar. Después, yo llevaría a mis hermanas al centro cultural o al acuario. Los domingos yo iba a los museos de arte, y después de eso yo iba al mercado de pulgas a comprar regalos para mi familia.

Yo fui a un muy buen restaurante en España! Mi madre me llevó. Ella tuvo la paella, y dijo era muy bueno. Yo tuve tamales con queso y espinacas. ¡Era increíble! El restaurante era car, pero muy deliciosa.
