Conquistador played a big role in the side i chose for the project. As you read the word conquistadors it clearly implies conqueror. Examples of conquistadors are people like Hernan Cortez and Francisco Pizarro. Another factor in me choosing invasion was how the Spanish treated the natives like they were dirt.

Pizarro was sent by Spain to find the large tribe known as the Inca. The Inca were known for living high on the mountains and their care for elderly. when Pizarro made it to the capital he took the leader hostage, and forced the Inca's to fill two rooms full of gold and silver. this is worth 24 tons worth of the gold and silver. this is one clear indication of Invasion.

Cortez was another conquistador sent by Spain to get gold from a large tribe known as the Aztecs. While Pizarro had to fight his way into the capital Cortez was viewed as a god to the Aztecs, because the Aztecs received a prophecy that god who looked completely similar to Cortez, would come around the same time. When Cortez had his first fight with the Aztecs, he lost because his men where rather dumb and tried to use the canals to escape with pockets full of goad, and they drown due to the fact that they had all the gold. He lost many of his soldiers from drowning due to their greed. Cortez came six moths later, but within those six months 80% died to diseases. the second time he won, since he took the emperor hostage then eventually the emperor died to an unknown cause. people think their were two endings the first was that everyone despised the emperor and so Cortez just killed him, and the second one of the city's people through rock and fractured the head of the king.

Before the African Diaspora, the natives were used as the slaves. between 1492 and 1548 the Indian population declined from 1 million to 500 Indians. North America dropped from 10 million to less than 1 million around the same period. Most slaves were used for plantations, usually these plantations grew crops like tobacco and sugar cane.
