As University Librarian, Shameem Nilofar, leads a high performing team in driving and delivering library service innovation that positively impacts the community they serve. A firm believer of non-linear career paths with a profile spanning multiple industries first as a computer engineer and then as a librarian, she has held various portfolios and has been a key driving force behind numerous initiatives that has transformed the library into a dynamic and active partner in the learning and research process.

Her notable achievements at SMU Libraries include spearheading the planning and opening of the Kwa Geok Choo Law Library, transforming the Li Ka Shing Library into a modern and cutting-edge collaborative learning space, and expanding its digital-first collection and services. Shameem has represented SMU in regional and global associations such as the International Association of Technological University Libraries (IATUL) and is the current Chair of the ASEAN University Network of Libraries (AUNILO) and serves as the Vice President of the Library Association of Singapore (LAS).

Rajen has a double Master’s degree in Library and Information Management from Sheffield, England and Information Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Melody is a Senior Librarian for Instruction and Learning at Singapore Management University, where she currently leads the OER initiative at SMU Libraries. She is passionate about Open Educational Resources and works with the University’s Centre for Teaching Excellence in raising awareness and in developing an OER workshop for Faculty instructors. Melody has previously served as Asst. Hon. Samantha Seah is the Digital Innovation Librarian at SMU Libraries. She graduated with her Masters in Information Studies from Nanyang Technological University in 2016. Samantha joined NTU Library in 2017 where she gained experience first as a Research Librarian, then as User Access librarian, eventually becoming the lead for the Service Innovation & Excellence team. She joined SMU Libraries in 2023 and currently explores emerging digital technologies to support teaching, learning, and research initiatives as part of the User Services & Experience team. AI literacy has been a topic of interest to her since the recent boom, leading to various presentations at Library Association of Singapore, Chulalongkorn University, the Consortium on Core Electronic Resources in Taiwan, and her recent workshop "When AI Goes Wrong" delving into how modern AI works and the ways in which it can fail to meet our expectations. She hopes to expand on these themes to help librarians and users better understand the questions we can ask when we choose to interact with AI.

My name is Kristanto. My specialty is actually linguistics, but recently I was put in charge of the library at University of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa (UST) in Yogyakarta. This is a new challenge for me because I do not have a relevant educational background. Library management is something new, although as an academic I am familiar with the library. However, I have found that this area is not only interesting but also challenging.
