this was my first try slip painting simple shapes, I realized after a few vessels, painting on leather hard clay works best for what i'm trying to achieve.

I wanted to make a simple textured bowl. I tried out a technique using a tie-dye bottle to dot the slip and it worked pretty well for the big dots. I think for the smaller ones it worked fine just using the end of a paintbrush. I'm interested to try this style of decorating with various other forms and glazes to get the effect of a whole "forest" of ceramic corals and anemones.

here's my first try with an impression type piece. I was surprised with how nicely the slip held in the cracks, and I want to try this technique again with various other plants and textured objects.

I like unconventional cups. I think thats probably the best explanation for this piece, and combined with the double handles, this was a very fun piece to work on.

This is the final result of the orange bowl. Unlike the other produce bowls, this one was done on a bisque fired plate. The slip on this one did crack a bit, and I do think it's because I worked on pre-fired clay.
