there's a couple of reasons why I see him as a role model/ I think he's really admirable.

- to start off, he's a walking encyclopedia, especially in English. I mean he can speak English very fluently and naturally. Whenever I have a hard time doing my grammar exercise, I always turn to him for help and he's always willing to give me a hand, WHICH I really appreciate.

- On top of that, he's super hilarious. Actually, he's a big fan of comedies and entertainment shows so he knows a lot of jokes. Every time I talk to him, he always cracks me up, which is exactly what I need whenever I'm in a bad mood/ Im feeling blue (down)

- Besides, he's also endowed with a stunning look with big eyes, a high nose, and bright skin. That's why whenever he shows up, he always attracts/draws people's attention. In fact, he's often invited to appear in various TV shows and advertisements.

So all in all, it's a no-brainer to understand why he's admired by a lot of people. Hopefully, we can still keep in touch/maintain a close-knit relationship with each other even if we have to study at different universities.

What I'm not really into about my school is the fact that my school curriculum is pretty heavy/overwhelming, which puts me under a lot of pressure/stress, so I don't have much time for recreational activities. / which means I'm always occupied with a ton of homework and deadlines, so...

I often commute to work by......it usually takes me 20 minutes to get to my workplace. However, on rainy days, it may take longer due to traffic congestion.

Well, I can't tell you the exact number/ I'm not really sure, but it's probably around 1 hour. I just go to school and then go home. I rarely hang out with my friends except on weekends.

Well, I'm currently a freshman/sophomore/junior/senior at…., majoring in...., which is one of the top schools in Hanoi, that's why I'm super proud to be a student here

Sure, I find it extremely practical and beneficial/helpful to my future career. I mean, it could help me to land a good job with a handsome salary/ it could bring me many employment opportunities in the future.

Actually, I really regret choosing this major because I find it super boring and impractical, which really let me down.

Actually, I chose this major just to please my parents as my parents believe it could bring me more employment opportunities after graduation. However, I realized that it's not suitable for me at all/I'm not cut out for it.

4. What kind of school did you go to as a child?

If my memory serves me right, I went to a public school, which was located in the heart of the city. I was really fond of it because my teachers and friends were really supportive and friendly, which was my motivation to go to school every day.

5. What do you like/dislike about your school?

What I'm into the most about my school is the facilities here, which are very modern. I mean, it’s equipped with lots of elevators, ACs and projectors, which is very beneficial for my studies.

Im really into the fact that there are various extracurricular activities at my school, which is a great opportunity for me to expand my social circle and enhance my soft skills.

Well, I don't like my school curriculum, which is pretty heavy/overwhelming, and it puts me under a lot of pressure, so I don't have much time for recreational activities.

I don’t like the fact that there are very few trees on my campus, which makes it very hot in the summer and we can’t engage in any recreational activities in that weather

I don’t like the fact that the parking space at my school is really narrow and it's always packed with hundreds of bikes and motorbikes, which makes it hard for me to go in and out.

6. Do you think that our education is really effective and practical?

I GOTTA SAY NO, I mean many subjects are quite impractical/theoretical. For example, when I studied English, I was taught mostly grammar and not enough communication, which made it very hard for me to communicate with foreigners.

For sure, I've always been a health-conscious person so I work out on a regular basis.  Doing exercise helps me not only alleviate stress but also keep fit and stay in shape

Well, not as often as I'd like to because I'm always occupied with my studies. Besides, I'm a night owl so I get up pretty late in the morning. However, I still try to set aside some time to go jogging at least 3 times a week.

Not really, I'm pretty lazy and I'm also occupied with a ton of/a bunch of homework. Even if I have free time, I prefer going shopping/hanging out with my friends, which is much more fun and exciting.

2. What kinds of exercises do you do?

Well, my favorite exercises are running, cycling, or working out, which I think is a good way to burn calories and have a lean body/refresh my mind.

As I said before, I rarely do exercise 'cause I don't have much time for it. However, I will try to do it more often in the future as I know that it can do wonders for my health. 

Actually, I've been running for....years/ a very long time. I think it's the best exercise for me to burn calories and burn off stress. That's why I always do it at least 3 times a week.

3. Do young people in your country like to do exercise?

Not really, because most Vietnamese youngsters are always busy/occupied with their work or study. Even if they have free time, they prefer to do other activities such as.....

Absolutely, Vietnamese youngsters are really into engaging in physical activities because they're becoming more and more health-conscious. That's why many people have a habit of cycling, going jogging or hitting the gym every day.

Well, it depends. There are those who are very health-conscious, so they have a habit of doing exercise every day. On the other hand, there are those who rarely work out due to a hectic schedule or just because they prefer other activities.

4. Do you think children should play sports regularly?

Absolutely, because they are often under a lot of pressure from studies, so playing sports often can help them chill out and boost their energy after school.

Undoubtedly, because children can still develop both mentally and physically, so taking part in physical activities can do wonders for their well-being.

when I was a child, I was a big fan of badminton. I often played it after school with other kids in my neighborhood, which was a lot of fun/ which was a blast

Actually, I didn't play any sports when I was a kid. I was only into playing some traditional games with other kids in my neighborhood, which was very fun.

I gotta say No, although I've become much more health-conscious than in the past, I don't have much time for doing exercise. However, I'm trying to follow a healthy diet in order to keep fit and stay away from diseases.

For sure, I think people, regardless of their gender, can be good at any sport that they want, as long as they put a lot effort, hardwork, determination, and patience into it.

9. Do you often watch sports on TV?

Yes, because going to a stadium to watch sports can be time-consuming and the ticket price can be costly, so watching sports on TV is the better option for me.

10. Do you prefer watching or playing sports?

Well, I would lean towards the FORMER / latter because it's more exciting and competitive /khơm pe đờ địpv/. Besides, playing sports can enhance my soft skills such as communication and teamwork.

Well, my all-time favorite athlete is, HANDS DOWN,........ who's widely regarded as one of the most talented football players in the world, that's why he has MILLIONS OF FANS all over the world.

I usually stay up late to finish my homework, I mean I won't go to bed until the wee hours. That's why I often feel sleepy and lethargic in the morning.

Sure, I'm a big procrastinator, I mean I only get things done when it's near the deadline, which got me in hot water multiple times. That's why I'm trying to break this habit.

Sure, I am a couch potato, I'd like lying on the sofa all day, binge-watching netflix and enjoying myself. Once in a while, I tried to work out a little bit but I find it pretty tiring.

13. In what ways do you try to stay healthy?

Well, Im trying to follow a healthy diet, which has mostly veggies and lean meat. Besides, I also try to hit the gym to work out on a daily basis to keep fit and stay in shape.

Not really because there are various fast food restaurants where I live such as KFC or Mc Donal, so it's pretty hard to resist the temptation to eat them. On top of that, there are not many sports centers where I can work out.

it's a little bit embarrassing but I gotta say yes. Although I know junk food is detrimental to my health, I still find them scrumptious and super budget-friendly

Well, I rarely pay them a visit. I find them pretty boring because there is not much except for some relics, sculptures, and paintings. I prefer hanging out with my friends, going shopping, or going to the cinema, which is much more fun.

I gotta say No, when I was a kid, I wasn't interested in museums at all. I preferred going to the zoo or the park, where I could take part in so many recreational/entertainment activities or see wild animals which was much more fun than going to museums.

I wasn't allowed to go out much when I was a kid. My parents just wanted me to stay at home and focus on studying, which I think was unreasonable/unfair.

If I'm not mistaken, the last time I went to a museum was probably 2 years ago. It was an art museum, I went there with some of my friends, and to be honest, it was so boring that I completely forgot about it now.

Well, it was a long time ago, I went to the Ho Chi Minh Museum with some of my friends to unwind/chill out and get some materials for our assignments at school, and we took a lot of stunning photos there

I would say it depends. If a child doesn't have a clear goal, their parents should help their kids set a short-term target to follow. On the other hand, if the kid already knows what they like, parents should give them support and the best conditions to help them fulfill their dreams.

We went there to take a break and escape from the stresses of our daily lives for a while. It was a much-needed getaway, allowing us to unwind and recharge amidst the serene beauty of Da Nang's beaches.

What happened

While strolling along the beach, we stumbled upon a talented artist sketching a portrait of a beachgoer. A small crowd gathered, marveling at his skills; his work truly resembled the model. In a sudden burst of inspiration, I decided we needed our own family portrait to immortalize this unforgettable vacation. Though initially hesitant, we decided to go for it. Standing there, we felt a bit worn out from maintaining our smiles for over 10 minutes, but the anticipation kept us going.

The result

When I finally laid my eyes on the finished masterpiece, I was blown away. It was nothing short of incredible! The artist had managed to vividly capture each family member, from our facial expressions to the sparkle in our eyes. what intrigues me the most is how our other neighbors speak highly of his kindness. There was an incident where a neighbor fell off their bike, and David immediately rushed to help, making sure they were okay and fixing their bicycle. We rarely had such opportunities in other classes and we really enjoyed the chance to interact and ask each other funny questions. I remember one occasion when our class laughed so much that everyone had sore stomachs and tired jaws.

Lastly, his lessons always drew inspiration from students and the most practical examples in life, rather than theoretical textbook examples. He respected every student's opinion, making it easier for us to grasp the lessons and feel a genuine connection.

So all in all, my English teacher is one of the smartest and most approachable innovators I've ever known. I hope all English teachers could be like him; it would undoubtedly make students much happier and foster a greater love for learning English.

As you might know, young people in Vietnam, and many other countries, are increasingly using profanity without batting an eye. This phenomenon can even be observed among students of all levels, and the higher the grade, the more profanity is used, which is highly inappropriate, especially in an educational environment. Many students believe that using profanities makes them the big cheese. They mimic language they hear from the internet or older students, which often lands them in hot water.

I believe this rule is incredibly important for a couple of reasons.

For one, it ensures a polite and harmonious environment where every student uses respectful and refined language to communicate with one another and with teachers. This helps students become well-mannered individuals, even after graduation, contributing to a society that values education and mutual respect.

On top of that, cracking down on profanity puts a lid on potential conflicts, preventing students from going bananas and resorting to physical fights just because they think someone has insulted or mocked them, which often leads to regrettable consequences. Some students even encourage their friends to gang up on another student, either inside or outside the school premises.

According to this rule, those using mild profanity may face warnings. In severe cases, students may be expelled and sent back home for self-discipline, only allowed to return after demonstrating improvement. However, I think the penalties should be stricter. In reality, many students still turn a blind eye to this rule. They only behave when teachers are around or within the school boundaries. Once they leave the premises, they freely use profanity with their peers.

So I think that enforcing this rule requires a joint effort from both families and schools to keep an eagle eye on students

"Tết in the Hell Village" is a Vietnamese horror flick that was supposed to be a game-changer compared to previous ones because Vietnamese horror has never quite satisfied its audience, but this one was marketed as seriously terrifying, with attention to detail in everything, from the actors to the storyline to the special effects. Naturally, I was super pumped/stoked and had high expectations.

The movie revolves around a group of people, the remnants of a gang of robbers, being avenged by a vengeful spirit. The villagers are gruesomely murdered one by one until only three survive, and the evil enemy is revealed. The whole thing is set in this misty mountain village in northern Vietnam, giving it this creepy and ominous vibe. But, there were a bunch of reasons why it left me feeling so disappointed.

for one, the acting of many actors fell short of my expectations. Their voices, facial expressions, and actions weren't convincing at all. For example, when they stumbled upon a dead body, their so-called expressions of fear felt totally fake, not how any normal person would react.

on top of that, the plot development was too slow and predictable, making the audience very sleepy. I can't recall how many times I dozed off because the film was so slow and lacked any surprises. It threw in a few cheap jump scares, but they were so obvious.

Lastly, the special effects in the film were awful, such as the murder scenes, werewolf transformations, or corpse entries, all done very poorly. These are supposed to be the bread and butter of a horror film, and they totally missed the mark.

all in all, the movie was a letdown, I felt it was a waste of money to buy a ticket to see this film.

I would like to tell you about my dream house. I want my house to be situated on a hill, surrounded by many palm trees. As a nature lover, this would allow me to immerse myself in nature, chill out, and escape the daily pressures of life.

I would like to have large windows around the house to provide a comfortable and clear view of the outside scenery. There's nothing like the cozy feeling of being wrapped in a warm blanket and watching the rain or snowfall through the windows. On boiling hot summer days, I can open the windows to let in fresh air and cool breezes.

In front of the house, I imagine a large tree casting shade over part of the building, accompanied by a seating area. This would give the house a vintage and romantic charm, especially when the tree changes its leaves in the fall or blossoms brightly in the summer.

My dream house would have at least three floors with numerous bedrooms so my friends can stay over whenever they pay me a visit.

Although I'm not much of a cook, I hope my future wife is. so I'd like a spacious kitchen with a wide marble counter so she can prepare and cook food easily. Before attending the party, everyone eagerly decorates their homes, tidies up and cleans the ancestral altar with great care. Then, they set up offerings to pay respects to the ancestors, including a well-prepared feast with various dishes and a tray of five fruits, along with ample amounts of lucky money. The hope is that the ancestors will bless the family with luck and peace in the coming year.

Afterwards, everyone gathers in the kitchen to prepare the last meal of the year. Some wash vegetables, others cook noodles, stir-fry meat, or cook rice. The atmosphere is bustling but also joyful, with everyone working and chatting simultaneously/at the same time.

During the meal, emotions are different compared to other occasions because everyone is excitedly anticipating the new year. People share their happy and sad memories from the past year, expressing emotions and discussing things they haven't had the chance to talk about before.

After finishing the meal, everyone gathers around the TV to countdown to the fireworks, signaling the arrival of the new year. The children play and laugh with other kids in the neighborhood, while the elderly sit and chat near the Chung cake pot. As for me, I enjoy preparing red envelopes to give to my grandparents, parents, and relatives.

So all in all, the New Year's Eve party is the one I enjoy the most as it is a rare opportunity for me to gather and strengthen the bonds with my family members, all hoping for a year full of health, happiness, and prosperity.

We set out early in the morning when the roads were still relatively empty, and the city was blanketed by a layer of chilly frost. All in all, this was one of the best car trips I have ever had. It not only allowed me to chill out with my friends but also created beautiful memories that made me appreciate friendship and the beauty of our country even more.

The inspiration for this desire stems from a video I came across when I was watching TV as a child, which was about a group of people peacefully diving underwater, playing with a dolphin. The sensation of touching, petting, and bonding with the dolphin truly excited and intrigued me, and I have always dreamed of experiencing it myself.

However, one concern I have about this activity is the amount of gear I would have to wear, such as swimwear, breathing apparatus, and protective headgear. Additionally, I would need to thoroughly learn safety rules, equipment usage, and how to handle emergency situations to ensure that the diving expedition is both safe and enjoyable.

I vividly recall it was a cool and breezy summer afternoon. As my sister was busy, she entrusted my father and me with looking after her child. Neither my father nor I were skilled at babysitting, and after a while, my cousin started crying loudly. No matter how I tried to comfort him, he wouldn't stop crying. Consequently, my father decided to teach us how to make a kite and fly it.

I was thrilled because, although I was around 9 or 10 years old at that time, I had never flown a kite before. My father instructed me to prepare some materials such as paper, scissors, and glue. He skillfully crafted a white kite and then asked me to draw eyes and a nose to make it more lively. My cousin also became excited about sticking long pieces of paper together to create the kite's tail. Although it didn't turn out very neat, he seemed super excited, chuckling mischievously while getting creative.

Once we finished, my father carried my cousin, and I held the kite as we walked to the spacious area along the Red River, with lots of grass and refreshing breezes. We waited for strong gusts of wind to begin flying the kite. Initially, it was challenging for me to launch the kite because I didn't know how to make it soar high. However, my father patiently guided me, and soon enough, I got the hang of it. My cousin, upon seeing the kite ascend higher and higher, displayed great enthusiasm, clapping his hands, stomping his feet, and laughing heartily to cheer us on. I handed him the kite, and he also attempted to tug at the string, attempting to control it. The higher the kite soared, the louder his laughter became, and we all reveled in the joy of the moment.

It was my first time personally flying a kite and witnessing the freedom of kites soaring in the sky. I felt a sense of peaceful freedom during that activity. Normally, I spent my time playing with other kids in the neighborhood, but this was the first time I got to play with my father and cousin. It was a wonderful experience that I will never forget.

I'm there to listen when they need to share their sorrows and I provide financial help when they face difficulties. Absolutely, since I was very young, my parents instilled in me the value of helping others in need. They taught me to return lost items to their owners, assist the elderly in crossing the street, and carry heavy loads for others. I don't need them to be too expensive or intricately designed because I don't wanna break the bank for them.

No, I haven't. Jewellery is quite expensive and very personal in style – not everyone looks good in everything, and it's not certain the person you give it to will like it. So, I usually opt for something cheaper and more likable such as makeup, bags, or daily items.

I'd like to start off by saying that I always have an insatiable thirst for/have a burning passion for traveling so I've visited numerous places in Vietnam. However, there's this one spot I haven't set foot in yet, and it's got me really intrigued – that hidden gem is Sa Pa.

So Sa Pa is about a 5-6 hour drive north of Hanoi, as far as know, the temperature here is cool all year round, and it is often covered in clouds and mist, making it a mystical and enchanting paradise, that's why it's got the nickname "the city in the clouds.

Sa Pa is also renowned for its breathtaking scenery, including majestic waterfalls, golden terraced rice fields, and a valley of flowers in various colors.

The first time I realized how beautiful it is was when I was scrolling through TikTok and stumbled upon a video of a girl documenting her trip to Sa Pa. I was immediately impressed. The video featured images of pristine white cherry blossom forests, along with small children in ethnic clothing carrying baskets of vibrant yellow flowers on their backs, smiling brightly, which truly sparked my interest and curiosity.

I am also curious about the people of Sa Pa. I want to learn more about their way of life, how they cope with the cold weather, and the beauty of their culture. The local cuisine is rumored to be delicious, especially the grilled meat, which is marinated and seasoned very differently from other regions.

So, it's a no-brainer to understand why Sa Pa is on the bucket list of many people, especially avid travelers. I'm really looking forward to visiting it as soon as possible. Fortunately, a local immediately called me back and returned it to me, which I really appreciated.

On top of that, the scenery here is absolutely stunning. It's famous for numerous pine forests, flowers, and amazing ancient French architecture, making it a perfect place for someone who loves taking pictures and immersing themselves in nature like me

Finally, it is a culinary paradise for foodies, with various food such as grilled meat, rice paper rolls, artichoke tea, and various fruits. But the best thing is they are very budget-friendly, so I couldn't help but eat a lot of them.

So all in all, it's a no-brainer to understand why Da Lat is considered one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in Vietnam. I hope to have more opportunities in the future to visit, and I would highly recommend this place to all travel enthusiasts.

The park's located slap bang in the heart of Hanoi, making it easily accessible to locals and tourists alike. Thống Nhất Park is pretty massive; I mean, you could easily spend hours just wandering around and still not see every corner.

When I first visited this park as a child, I was extremely scared by the presence of some addicts and hookers there However, over the years, I have witnessed a remarkable change in Thong Nhat Park. It has become a whole lot safer, a place where people from all walks of life gather to enjoy nature, exercise, and spend quality time with their loved ones.

There are two main reasons why I enjoy visiting Thong Nhat Park.

For one, It's a perfect place for people of all ages to chill out and recharge. I love walking beneath the canopy of trees, enjoying the fresh air, and listening to the sounds of birds chirping and leaves rustling, which is absolutely rejuvenating .That's why whenever I'm stressed out or under pressure from my studies, I often pay it a visit. It's truly a haven for me to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, I kid you not

On top of that, it often holds a bunch of cultural and recreational activities such as art exhibitions and live music performances, giving me the opportunity to expand my social circle and foster a sense of community

If I could suggest one thing, it’d be to keep the park well-maintained and maybe even improve some of the facilities. I think if they added a few more benches and made sure the pathways were clean, it’d be even more enjoyable for visitors.
