Our deepest condolences to Lalamma aunty and rest of the family. It's hard to believe that Uncle has gone to be with the Lord. I have so much of memories about him from the first time I met him when both Aunty and Uncle came to take Bible class to the last time I met him in our kottayam church. He is the first Pastor I have seen who have always maintained a calmness in his voice when he talks in no matter what situation. I can never forget his humbleness and his strength to overcome any difficulties that come ones way. I will always miss that wide smile he had when he greeted me. But I also know that Jesus might have had that wide smile when he greeted Uncle in Heaven. All the kids who grew up and knew you in kottayam church will really miss you.❤️

My deepest condolences and grief on the unexpected demise of our dearest Achyan. I myself ..our church & my Mrs. Rani convey our prayers to dear Lalamma Aunty and dear Dr. Bobby , Mr Binu and respective families.
Since I met Achyan at James br's co brother's house in the year 2008 October God tied us together to stand under the love flag of Abundant life fellowship churches and ministries. In the year 2009 Achayan ordained me as the pastor of Vadaserikara church at the annual meeting of all churches participation gathering at C M S college Kottayam.
Remember with great gratitude his ardent love and care to teach how to baptize and the permission bestowed over me.
Achyan allowed me to stand by his right side for the dedication of children..houses & and even for the funeral functions.
Usually marriage solemnizing is done by very senior pastors but Achyan allowed me to facilitate it is of course his broad mindedness loving nature.
During the pandemic period zoom teaching especially the lessons on Tabernacle was so graceful.
The 14 years with him was remarkable.
He have filled up the afflictions which are less suffered by Jesus Christ as Paul says.
In this heavily deepened situation let almighty soothe all.
I bow my head on the way Achyan have shown us and the affection he left for us

Johnykutty joined with Munduthara family more than 51 years back. From that time his relationship with me is like siblings continued till now. I am very sorry I shall not be able for his last travel because I was admitted to hospital on the day of his parting away from us and presently out of the country. Though physically I am not there my mental presence during his funeral service I join with all relatives and friends. Our last photograph taken on the occasion of his journey to Delhi on 30th September 2020 gives unforgettable memory of my life.

In the journey of life, we come across many people: most of whom we do not even notice; a few become our acquaintances and fewer become our friends for life. Johnykutty was one such lifelong friend: a relationship that began in Sindri over 45 years ago, grew stronger as time passed by. Although both our families expanded and settled in distant places, the relationship remained strong and the channels of communication uninterrupted. It is saddening that Johnykutty has gone to the Lord. We admire him more, because he not only lived according to the dictates of his faith in Christ, but also paved the way for many others to know God and live according to His precepts by founding the “Abundant Life Fellowship Churches” and nurturing them together with his wife, Lalamma. Our love and thoughts are with Lalamma, Bobby, Binu and their loving family; and our prayers for the grace and strength for them and all of Us to bear this immense loss and carry forward his vision.

Remembering Uncle.

I thank God for Johnykutty uncle, for being a spiritual father and mentor to me since my childhood. We were extremely privileged to have Johnkutty pastor ordain our marriage in January 2020. The presence of the Lord was so tangible in the Ceremony. From start to finish of the ceremony, God moved in a mighty way. He lived a purpose driven life, wholeheartedly serving the Lord. From the time I met Uncle and Aunty and my encounters with you have been the biggest influence and a turning point in my spiritual life which I can never forget.
You have taught us a lot from the depth of God's word...Whenever you spoke we always saw great excitement on your face and the fire of the Holy Ghost in you. You went into the depth of God's word to bring out the gems and words of wisdom for our spiritual growth. We cannot forget your works and sacrifice for the Lord... Remember the days when uncle and aunty were in Coimbatore. Both of you sacrificed together tremendously for the sake of our Lord Jesus to win souls for the Lord and to bring comfort to many people. You were a light to many people living in darkness. And you always had a smile on your face no matter whatever challenges and hardships you went through. You kept your faith without fail. It is with great sadness that we received the news of the passing of our beloved pastor Johnykutty, who was not only our spiritual mentor but also our dearest friend and a closest ally that we had in this life. We are so blessed to have been able to share our life journey with pastor and Lalamma aunty. Their love and concern for us showed us what the true meaning of Christ-like love is and they have always endeavoured to live a life that modelled Christ. Our close friendship began when Pastor Johnykutty baptised our oldest daughter in year 2000 and ever since then Pastor has been instrumental in building the spiritual lives of our 3 children and their families and also ours. His life was a living testimony of our resurrected and victorious saviour and his passion for the Lord was clearly evident in all he did. He was truly committed to the Lord. Personally in our life, he has always supported us not only in prayers and words of wisdom when we were in need of help but he was always wiling to go the extra mile with us and help us even though it meant he had to sacrifice his time and efforts for us. He has always considered us as his own family and we remember and cherish those moments we have spent together with uncle. One of the biggest blessings in our lives was to have known Johnykutty uncle and Lalamma aunty personally as our spiritual mentors and they have made a huge impact in our lives in a big way. I will always remember the wonderful days I got to spend with uncle and aunty in their home in Thripunithura in 2005 and they have always considered me and treated me as their own child. Uncle was a role model to me as a young person and he demonstrated through his words and life what it meant to diligently study the word and to passionately use every opportunity to glorify the Lord and to share with others His goodness. His life was a pathway that we could learn from and he was always eager to share his life stories and biblical teachings. I still remember the days that I made powerpoint presentation slides for you for the bible studies and I could see through your notes how profound your thoughts were and how sincere your love for the Lord. Uncle, if there is anything that we can do to honour your life on earth, it would be to live out our Christian lives just like you did, in sincerity and truth.

As a family, we truly miss you like our spiritual father and we hold on to the hope in Christ that we can meet again on the Heavenly shore. I remember the moment Uncle fell ill. I was with Bobby at the United Nations in New York, when Bobby had to return home. It was very sad and shocking for us, because we were so focused on our work and, suddenly, we were reminded once again of the fragility of life, family, and humanity. Later, when Uncle’s health turned around for the better, we felt to happy — and amazed — whenever Bobby would share photos of Uncle and Auntie. Thirty-four months have passed since that day in New York. Bobby, you are a loving son. This is what I remember. And you’re right — this is not a ‘funeral’, but a homecoming. പഴയ നിയമം പഠിപ്പിക്കുക എന്ന പ്രയാസമേറിയ കാര്യം വളരെ ആഴമായി ഏതു സ്ഥലത്തും ഏതു സമയത്തും സഭയായും വ്യക്തിപരമായും പറഞ്ഞു തന്നിട്ടുള്ളത് എല്ലാവരും ഓർക്കുന്നു. ജീവിതത്തിൽ പല രോഗങ്ങൾ /അപകടങ്ങൾ വന്നപ്പോഴും ദൈവമക്കളുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥന ഫലം നൽകി.ലാലമ്മ ആന്റി ഇതേപ്പറ്റി ചർച്ചിൽ സാക്ഷ്യമായി പറഞ്ഞതും ഓർക്കുന്നു."ആറു കഷ്ടത്തീൽ നിന്നും ദൈവം നിന്നെ വിടുവിക്കും. ഏഴാമത്തേതിലും തിന്മ നിന്നെതൊടുകയില്ല"

എല്ലാവർക്കും തന്നാലാവത് കൊടുക്കുക
മാത്രം ചെയ്ത ജോണിക്കുട്ടി അങ്കിളിന്
"നല്ല പോർ പൊരുതി
ഓട്ടം തികച്ചു
വിശ്വാസം കാത്തു".ഇനി
നീതിയുടെ കിരീടം എനിക്കായി വച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു

A man of God who showed us the light!
He was with us during our darkest times.
When we faced lots of problems Years ago when my mom passed away . He always had a prayerful solution for every problem and taught us to face it. Uncle and aunty were with us as a very strong support. We used to share with them just everything.

Dear Lalamma Aunty

We are so saddened to hear the passing away of our dear Johnykutty Uncle.

He was an inspiration to ministers like me. He has taught us a lot about what ministry is and where our focus should be.

We as a family will miss dear uncle’s phone calls and the encouraging words in the coming years.

We are thinking of you during this time of tremendous loss. May you find strength and healing from the eternal love of our Lord God. We’re praying for you and your family.

Only heard of the passionate and pioneering ministry of Brother Johnnykutty but did not have the privilege to meet him personally. From the testimonies it is evident that he was a faithful soldier of the Cross. May he rest from his labours in the arms of Jesus, his Lord and Master. I had the privilege of sharing a meal with Appacha in 2018. He was so humble , kind and warm. He welcomed me into his home and treated me with so much kindheartedness as one would be with their family. I hold the memory of Appachen and the few moments spent in his company , very fondly.

My deepest condolences . May God give you the strength to cope with this irreparable loss. May his soul rest in peace .

I'm Lael, and I'm speaking on behalf of all of Appachan's grandchildren: Lillianne, Daniel, Amarya and myself.

Daniel says: “Appachan, I will miss you. I remember how you tried to play football with me just because I wanted you to, even though you were really, really bad at it! I remember you always smiling, and always cracking jokes. I am sure there will be many smiles in heaven, now that you are there!”

Amarya says: “I remember speaking with Appachan every other day during my drive to school. Appachan would first speak with dad and then me. I always noticed how your voice became a lot more cheerful when you spoke with me. Surely, you loved me more than you loved dad! I will miss talking to you, Appachan!”

Our memories of Appachan are those of laughter, and I think that's how we—his grandchildren—are going to remember him: him talking to us in English, while subtly trying to get us to start speaking in Malayalam. Appachan had great comic timing; the dining table was his favourite stage. He retained a love for food (Bengali especially). I remember him emphasising the word "LOOCHI,” and no curry got past him without being a few potatoes lesser. He loved a good meal, and was ever ready with a list of ways one could make it even better, especially when it came to kaayam (asafoetida) levels. He found a complementary life partner in Ammachi: conversations we witnessed between them would be peppered with stories and humor, obscure Malayalam idioms, and sarcasm. Appacha’s death holds a bit of irony for us: the punchline to a lifetime of working with the ‘Life’ Insurance Corporation of India, and then establishing the ‘Abundant Life’ Fellowship churches and organisations. This sense of humor was helpful to remember as children when we would watch him transform from a gentle, soft-spoken Appacha to the larger-than-life, passionate Pastor Johnykutty. Lillianne remembers Appacha’s passion for biblical scholarship vividly; we would sit together with the scripture, analysing books, chapters, sentences, words, names, and even individual letters, marvelling at how symbols and motifs tied well-known narratives together with practical lessons for walking with the Lord.

Over the past 3 years, I've had the privilege of being at home with Appachan and Ammachi for extended periods of time, and I may not have been as grateful then for that time as I am now. I also had the privilege of sitting with him for his last few minutes on this Earth. While there, I remembered how Appachan would say, with gratitude, ‘Ithrathollum Yahova Sahayichu’ ('The Lord has sustained me so far/all this while'). And I think that pretty much sums up Appachan's Life.
