-this is a major incident because it’s a terrorist attack which means it will require more than one service to resolve it and will need extra help, since human life is risked, the environment is risked and security if the airport is hugely risked.
-this means when the police get the phone call, they will use the acronym METHANE to communicate with the fire service and ambulance service effectively.
- they will tell them the location, casualties, the extreme of what has happened, what services have to be involved, and other information needed so that they’re aware of what they are walking into and also have some information to start think about how to resolve it.
-this means communication will be better between the services since they are already aware of what has happened and there will be no confusion when they arrive at the scene it any miss communication between the services.
-when they get there, they have to decide who will take the main role and lead.

Mutual goals: this is a benefit of collaborative working because everyone wants the same positive outcome from a situation. This also means that if everyone has the same goal that they want to achieve, they can all put their ideas together and reach the goal quickly and efficiently.

Shared responsibility: this is a benefit of collaborative working because if everyone in the team has the same amount of responsibility, then if something goes wrong it ensures everyone will take the blame and that there will be less tension in the group as there’s not only 1 person getting the blame.

Shared resources: this is a benefit because if people are sharing their resources, it means an increase of information and an increase of how fast the task will take to get through.
