         <description><![CDATA[<div>Works along side the Golgi body and the ribosomes and has folds called cristernae. Smooth ER specializes in making lipids and steroids and it stores calcium in muscle cells. The rough ER has ribosomes attached to them which are in charge of making proteins.&nbsp;<br><br>Muscle cells need a large amount of smooth ER for muscle contraction. Cells in the digestive tract need a large amount of rough ER because they are involved with the production and secretion of digestive enzymes (made of proteins) and mucus.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

However, in the end there are four new cells with n=23 (Haploid number of chromosomes) and gamete cells, used for fertilization in order to get a fertilized egg.&nbsp;</div><div>An interesting fact is that in Meiosis, there is actually Mitosis, know as Meiosis I.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
