We have to abide by the law, our lives are influenced heavily by those around us, and because society sets expectations for us. The law prevents the exercise of free will because it determines what behaviour is punishable. We commit actions agains the law and we will feel the consequences of that act. Individuals set expectations for us and those we know have ideas of who we should be. Society sets expectations for us as human beings. It makes us understand that we have to act in a certain way to be accepted by others.
