It was relatable, and didn't sound like it was written for a 2 year-old. Like always, it was very over-analyzed, but the storyline was better than most. 

It starts at a scene where the family of the main character is at a dinner party. They ended up finding a way to make it awkward for the whole family. After that scene, the narrator explains how her Chinese originated family ended up in the USA. 

Throughout the whole story, the author finds new creative ways to embarrass the family and how our main character reacts. In the end, this story was a good choice for Edgenuity to pick, because it is relatable and realistic, while still grabbing the readers attention with plenty of humor.

He is charming and has a big wit, but whenever you insult him he gets outrageously loud and mean. I will try to say an insult he made up on the spot: The story is, one time he got hit by the school bully and Ferry got so mad that he made this insult: "wizard mis-adventurous dark arts spellbinder blackened spaghetti eating wayward man!" I'm surprised he came up with all of that. He said it as slick as Mongolian oil too! We rarely see the maleficent side of him. Ferry is a good friend, but I think you got all the information you need about him. The End.

1. Getting your dog to trust you and be your best friend will be a journey. A good way to start is by giving them lots of pets, treats, and love. Dogs love it just when you're around! They don't have very high expectations, but just because you can get away with only giving them some love doesn't mean you should. Only spending a few minutes with your dog will make them an okay friend, we want them to be your best friend.

2. Spending lots of quality time with your dog will make them very happy, and will make you very happy to. Studies show that just being around dogs can make you happier! Plus, intern, you get to make your dog love their home and owner, or their best friend. I know that when my dog comes running home to me after a long day it makes me happier.

3. You wont always have your dog around. This is sad, but it's okay, if you loved your dog, gave them pets and treats, then they had a good life. If you have your dog around still, let them be your best-friend, and let them have a good run before they have to go. Having your dog as your best friend will mean having a buddy that never wants to harm you. (give maybe the few times you leave your food out on the counter, but hey, you snooze you lose!)

A perfect time for this is when someone else mentions an achievement. After they say it, you need to one up them, whether it is a lie or not. You must stay Alpha. When you one up everyone, they will all know to never say an accomplishment in front of you. 
Secondly, you should find loopholes in everything. While it might get you in trouble it will definitely make you seem like you have a lot more knowledge than you actually have. When you do get in trouble, you should find a loophole, for example, if the principle says "The student handbook says you can't show your shoulders." You should wear something defiant that shows shoulders and cover up just your shoulders with a cloth of some kind. It will make you seem smart to your heart's desire.
Lastly, you must, must do this; use big words. Saying "The quadratic formula doesn't seem proportional in its constant rate of how parallel the scale factor is.." sounds much better than, " The rectangle isn't straight." This is an example of how you're better than everyone. It will make you the coolest smartest person they know. 
To finalize, always act like you are the smartest person you know. Make very witty comebacks when accused. Find loopholes in everything people say, and use over-exaggerate big words. Martin was embarrassed how frail his great grandpa looked. Then, after seeing how all the children thought his great grandpa was cool, Martin was no longer ashamed.

Martin learned what his great grandpa's heritage was by listening to his story about the medicine bag. His great grandpa's dad had a vision quest where he would be working with white man's iron. He learned he would become a blacksmith. His name was Iron Shell (Edgenuity 12). When Martin learned the history of the medicine bag, he learned how important it was for his family's tradition. By the end of the story, Martin resolved his conflict with himself.

In the third and fourth line it says, " 'Mid the lightning flashing, come the rain..." This story was better than the rest because they turned the rain from being a bad experience and turned it into a good experience.

So in this speech I covered how my dog walks me, feeds me and takes me to 7-ll for snacks. This is why you should also have your dog take care of you.  These are the reasons why my dog is my best friend and the best owner.

Due to their deaths, the families' feuds end from heartache  ]]> 2022-12-16 18:45:41 UTC https://padlet.com/daneen1960/fleqmfecnmefvdgp/wish/2423309737 Favorite Story - Sam E daneen1960 https://padlet.com/daneen1960/fleqmfecnmefvdgp/wish/2423314580 I would say Ramon's Run.  This one had a story instead of just describing what happened in real life.  In Ramon's Run, the characters actually have personalities.  For instance, Squeaky's mother is embarrassed of her and will walk ahead of her when she is prancing to practice keeping her knees up.  Squeaky starts off as the cockiest thing on two feet.  She immediately states that she is the "fastest thing on two feet", that's why she knows that Gretchen will not beat her in the race. Ramon we can obviously tell he has a disability but he is a pretty good runner as we see at the climax of the plot.  He races on the outside of the fence and keeps up with both Squeaky and Gretchen while running like a Naruto character, with his hands stretched behind his back.

I liked this story because I feel like I have a similar-ish connection to the story. 

The story is about a child who wants to have her father realize the equality of girls and boys. She tries her best to have her father see this. She learns how to ride a horse and learns Greek to impress her father.
