1. "When we (temporarily) put people in a fixed mindset, with its focus on permanent traits, they quickly fear challenge and devalue effort."
2. After she did the experiment on the kids she was suprised by the results. She thought kids would give up after failure but suprised that they kept working. Her argument was that fixed mindset is your going in cirlces and not moving forward. Growth mindset is that you move forward and learn from failed mistakes you made.
3. We feel that the argument she made was valid because people need to know about growth and fixed mindset because it will help us grow in life. The world gives us obstacles in life and that helps us from learning from our mistakes.

1. “You don’t have to have one mindset or the other to be upset… Yet those people with the growth mindset were not labeling themselves and throwing up their hands. Even though they felt distressed, they were ready to take the risks, confront the challenges, and keep working at them.”

2. What she means is that people with a growth mindset are more than likely to overcome challenges and obstacles whereas people with a fixed mindset get very inpatient and are more likely to give up.

3. Personally, the argument that Dweck is making makes me feel that there is room for mistakes and challenges. It is okay to feel down about things you have not done right, but the important part is that you confront the challenges and learn. This argument helps my mindset because it is stating its okay to take risks and learn from those certain risks you have taken.

1. "They weren't discouraged by failure they didn't even think they were failing they thought they were learning".

2. So Dwecks arugement sums up how failure is a good being and improves our minds and beliefs. It can change others too if you put your mind to it.

3. What we think is that you need to failure and mistakes to learn and succeed and for your mindset to grow and to learn. We need our mindsets to show us what we can and cant do so we can strive in live to live and grow. Our parents are our biggest influence so we can focus and put our minds to anything we want.

But those with a growth mindset might have been upset, but they didn't give up and just say they couldn't do something just because it looked difficult or challenging. Even though the challenge looked hard, they were ready to take the risk and try and keep working rather than giving up.

3. It's ok to make mistakes and it's ok to feel upset. But you shouldn't just give up cause it looks hard or difficult. You should keep pushing and strive for challenges and take the risk in life. Because the risks may always lead to you learning something new and interesting.

1. In this mindset, the hand you’re dealt is just the starting point for development. This growth mindset is based on the belief that your basic qualities are things you can cultivate through your efforts.

2. I think that she is trying to say that a fixed mindset isn’t the only way to go and that sometimes a fixed mindset can hold you back if you give up. On the other hand, a growth mindset can allow you to grow and try new things.

3. I think that what she is saying is true, if you grow up with a growth mindset instead of having a fixed mindset it opens your mind more and it teaches you to embrace everything whether it's the good things or the bad things; instead of always thinking about failure and the negative. Having a growth mindset is the way to go because you are willing to try new things and look at the bigger picture rather than focusing on one thing. Hard work beats talent which is a saying that my parents always say but if you have a “growth mindset” you can become the best version of yourself.

Things like a poor grade or a rebuff from a friend or loved one—these are not fun events. No one was smacking their lips with relish. Yet those people with the growth mindset were not labeling themselves and throwing up their hands." (Dweck 6)

2.) Growth mindsets allow for change and advancements in your lifestyle and the actions you choose. Fixed mindsets are more focused on the negative thoughts and acting on your clouded emotions. If you are stuck in a fixed mindset, it will make life more difficult when you're stuck overthinking the little things.

3.)Dweck’s argument made us feel that if we change our perspective in life it could make our lives easier. By being open minded and having a growth mindset we can achieve more. With having the growth mindset, we are learning from our mistakes and failures which makes us grow as a person.
