I took the religious aspect of it and related it back to my entire life. I came up with focus words to write about, example being Authentic Love. The most influential and most important part for me was when I set a goal for the day. This helped me to set my sights on what was important for that afternoon and evening, and then hopefully take on that same mentality when I am approached with a similar scenario. He said that he is willing to do the song with Honor Chorale. Some unforeseen obstacles are the timing of all of it, as Mr Olson thinks that the song would be easier to perform during the Spring. I was expecting him to be able to do it in the Fall, but I have made my pitch for Fall but it is out of my control now. My major Holy Moment was when I went into Mr Olson’s office to talk about the plan, and then when we finished, he just began to ask me how my life was going, how classes were, etc. This made me feel cared for. My next goal is to get Mr Robinson and the band on board, and get a set date on the calendar for the performance in the octagon. The only thing I might still need help with is figuring out the logistics of organizing getting 130 kids out of their 5th period classes early when the performance time comes. ]]> 2019-09-25 13:19:42 UTC https://padlet.com/gsobek22/fl59lw5ntxfc/wish/389423177 My Best and Worst gsobek22 https://padlet.com/gsobek22/fl59lw5ntxfc/wish/389431485 I was at my best when we had a debriefing after the rally. I think that I was able to not only look at myself and how I could’ve done better, but I was able to see how the whole class could have improved. Even though I did not think that the rally was successful, I still believe that this was a successful personal moment because I voiced my concern in a helpful and not complaining way. I was also at my best when the FAE group was spitballing ideas. I was taking notes on it, and not only coming up with my own ideas, but trying to expand off of others ideas as well. In the end, the conversation was successful, setting us up for success at the FAE. 

I have not been at my best when I did not go to the reinvented FNL. Somewhat of the reason I did not go was because I did not want my parents to have to get home at 11:15. But, I still could have made it happen. If I still didn’t go, I could have come down during the football game to help setup or even simply helped load and unload cars with all of the speakers and such. A second moment when I was not at my best was when I had told Mr Burr I could not go to the BTS Dance, but then I took on a “Not My Problem” mentality. I could have done many things to help plan and organize the event, but instead I decided to step back and not be helpful. I think I have improved upon this throughout the year, by trying my hardest to help in-class planning and organizing even if I know I won’t be able to go to the event.

I learned how the orchestra music selection process works and brought new ideas into him.
Light: The constant contacting of people as far as England repertoire companies to try to get the sheet music, and that failed many times. This might seem like a shadow but it is a light because it showed persistence. 
Light: Using ideas from other events and functions to plan this one to the fullest.
Shadow: The slow down in the whole process with Mr Olson not allowing it to happen until the Spring. 
Shadow: Planning with Facilities and publicizing it.
Shadow: The event is going to be smaller than I originally wanted, which actually logistically makes sense. Having a high goal brought down hurts in the moment but shines afterwards.
