I would recommend this book to a friend or family member, but only if they injoy reading books that are like diaries. For example , my cousins read a lot of dork diaries , I would recommend it to them. One reason I don't like this book is because it's not that entertaing it doesn't have a mystery or a crazy funny guy in it like most off the books I read. I don't really like the book, but the role Leigh plays is very interesting. I like the part where he hears a kid say" when are we going out for pizza". That's something I'd like to see in all my books. Leigh's role is actually a great role only because he talks about his feelings when he writes to Mr. Henshaw and that's why his role is so catchy. In conclusion I don't really like Mr. Henshaw but I would recommend it to others.

UNORGANIZED: The book says what leigh writes to henshaw but dose not say what henshaw reply's with. This makes it messy and not under stand-able its hard to read and makes no sense.

The book is unorganized because it is "organized" by dates. Like on February 6 it says "Tuesday, February 6 Today I felt so tired I didn't have to try to walk slow on the way to school." What is that supposed to mean? After that it goes to February 7th then 8th then 9th then 15th.
The book doesn't make since because it says he writes to his favorite author but then he eats lunch with a different favorite author. Doesn't make since to me. 
The book is boring because its all about writing.
