This class is exactly what I need to build on what I learned when I was younger on these topics. I am excited that we get to apply what we learn in our Reach classes right away.
When I had the opportunity to interview a science teacher for our Assignment Analysis, I learned about the Engineering Design Process. She was able to show me the similarities and differences between the scientific method and the Engineering Design Process. I was able to see how she creates her lesson plans using this method. I especially enjoyed seeing the hands-on activities that go with each lesson.
I will continue to grow my knowledge of science and how it works by trying new experiments with our students. I will be the student right alongside them. There is always more to learn. I thought it was a scientific question. I learned that scientific inquiry does not have to start with a question. 
Scientific inquiry is an investigative way to teach and learn where students are provided with opportunities to investigate the problem. This is amazing! When children can learn skills and apply them in real-life experiences, they truly learn the information and have fun at the same time.
I also learned, during my interview with the science teacher, how she manages all of the groups in her classroom performing experiments. She said that it does get loud but a certain amount of excitement is expected. I plan to visit her classroom again to see how she is able to help them help themselves (like scaffolding).
I will continue to grow in this topic by visiting more classrooms and planning more interviews with teachers at my school. I am surrounded by teachers who only want the best for me and will talk to me about any topic I ask. I have noticed these types of changes in my own life. Very small changes can lead to impactful results.
During the Bunny Blitz simulation, I learned about the 4 Basic Principles of Natural Selection. I did not realize that there were so many variables that go into natural selection.
I will continue to grow in this topic by being more observant to be able to notice changes around me. I will work on applying my knowledge from these activities.

That is a long time. I was nervous because I did not know what types of assignments we were going to be assigned. I know that now is the time to earn my degree.
I feel more comfortable with science and the Reach program overall after being enrolled in this class. The assignments have clear instructions and the information started at a basic level, like a refresher.
