This was the first battle of the Revolutionary War we don't know who shot the first shot but the Patriots believe that the British fired the first shot but the British believe that the Patriots. The Patriots were outnumbered 70 to 700 and after the first shot the Patriots ran away. 8 colonists died.

The British marched on after the battle of Lexington to Concord they didn't find anything but on the way back they were attacked by 4000 Patriots the Patriots did a guerilla warfare style of fighting and the Patriots were able to push the British back.

The battle of Bunker Hill has actually fought on Breeds Hill the British general thought that they were on Bunker Hill and the Patriot general had originally thought to fortify Bunker Hill but then changed his mind and decided to fortify Breeds Hill it was tough for the British to take the hill because the Patriots had the high ground and the British had very little cover to hide from or to block musket balls in all the British take the hill but it was very costly so costly that they decided to not take anymore hills the British lost 1000 men and the Patriots lost about 400.

General Gage moved 5000 troops to Boston to try to make a colonial attack impossible they laid siege to Boston for a year and completely cut off Boston from all resources.

The Battle of Ticonderoga is the battle where not a single bullet was fired Benedict Arnold and Ethan Allens green mountain boys were going to attack the fort together but they were able to sneak in and catch the British by surprise and were able to take it without firing a single shot so in the end they were able to take the fort and get the cannons

The 13 colonies were still not seeking independence and just wanted rights as true Englishmen so they sent King George to the Second Continental Congress asking for rights the king declined their rights and pushed them towards independence.

The battle of Trenton: George Washington planned to sail across the Delaware River in the dead of night on Christmas and march down to Trenton to make a last-ditch effort to keep his men from giving up the fight. It was one of the coldest days with extremely fast winds George planned to take boats full of soldiers. But George's group was the only one able to navigate across the river the others had to turn back and now Goerge was missing a large part of his army. He was way behind schedule to get there when he wanted he had originally planned to get there at night but he ended up getting there at 8 am the sun was already up and he didn't have his whole army. It wasn't looking good for the general but he knew he had to keep fighting. He put cannons down in the center of Trenton and he ended up winning and causing over 1000 casualties for the Hessians and gave his army the moral to stay and fight in the war.

The British wanted to split the colonies using the Hudson River valley. British general John Burgoyne wanted to have three armies link up in New York state but the other army didn't show up he didn't know that. He kept marching but the patriots had cut down trees to block the way and it took the general a lot longer than it should have. He was slowed by guerrilla warfare and he finally got pinned down at a small town of Saratoga and had to surrender his whole army.

when the winter came George Washington set up a camp in Valley Forge but they had minimal supplies and resources many suffered from frostbite and lost toes and fingers then smallpox came and it killed a lot of patriots but they created the first vaccines to lower the death rate of it.

British Lieutenant Henry Hamilton AKA the hair buyer would pay Indians money or resources for the scalps of colonists but General Clark approached the fort where the hair buyer was and they battled for hours by the end Clark demanded his unconditional surrender at Fort Vincennes when the hair buyer denied his request he got 4 Indians and tomahawk them to death as a form of physiological terror and never apologized for the action.

Captain of the Bonhomme Richard, named in honor of Benjamin Franklin John had made many attacks on the British fleet on September 23rd jones was attacked the was outgunned and he was overwhelmed but thanks to his brilliant movement he was able to hit the Bonhomme Richard and when he was asked ifn he wanted to surrender he said "I have not begun to fight!" he ended up winning but the boat began to sink he transferred his remaining troops to the turtle the worlds first.submarine

George Washington laid siege to York Town With the help of French engineers, and French troops began to dig a series of parallel trenches days went by and they fought and in the end the patriots won and it was the last battle of the war.
