Digital writing is multimodal, allowing writer to utilize a variety of formats and tools to get their message across. Digital writers create with their audience in mind, and collaborating is integral to this type of writing. </div>]]></description>

During a recent Social Studies project, many of my students collaborated together on a slideshow to teach their classmates about a famous explorer. This is an elective course that teaches science, research, tech, and writing. Groups of students self select roles and modes for creating this writing.
