The most common items and resources traded along this route are northern exports, these exports contained different materials that were mainly in these exports were things like fur, animal skins and parts, honey, beeswax, and more resourcesprimarily found in the north. On the other hand, the northern parts received common Mediterranean materials like gold, brass, tin, and many other metals. This route also had things like slaves, pottery, textiles, and more.

Along the Amber Road, people shared art skills, farming tools like plows, rakes, and sickles, religious beliefs like Greek and Roman gods and languages such as Greek and Latin as they traded more. These exchanges spread new ideas and technologies between further regions, turning the road into a path for trade and culture. This sharing of knowledge helped different societies like the Romans and Greeks grow closer and learn from each other.

The amber road was mostly used by the Roman merchants and the actual Roman empire; this was because they gained access to different resources from further up north like fur and precious metals while the empire was able to tax all the different trade along this route helping with the finances of the empire. Many merchants and native tibes were also helped by making connections with each other and having the stream of roman wealth and materials.

The groups that were mainly negatively affected by the trade route were native groups and villages; these parts were affected by having a huge trade route intervene and overlap the current existing trade route of their communities. In recent times, during WW2 many cities laid in the amber road, already being mapped out many people were caught in the crossfire, for example a lot of polish cities were located this way, another way this road affected WW2 is through the Amber Room being a German made salon mad of amber, being lost in the war and now an unfound artifact.

There were two bodies of water that affected the Amber Road those are the Mediterranean Sea and the Baltic Sea. During the Bronze Age, Baltic amber became more common and even replaced Sicilian amber in many areas. So basically, the Baltic Amber came from the Baltic Sea so having that sea near made it better to sell the Baltic Amber. Basically, the Baltic Sea helped the Amber Route because it was where most of the amber came from, so traders collected it there to start the journey. The Mediterranean Sea helped because it allowed traders to carry the amber farther south to places like Italy, Greece, and Egypt. Using the sea made trading faster and easier, letting amber reach more people and connect with other goods being traded.
