However letting your students see that along with being a teacher, you are also a human being will allow  you to create connections with your students that other teachers may not have. He noticed that some of the students who were participating were ones that he was having trouble with making a connection in class. After a few visits and listening to the students rap he soon realized that he could use this strategy in teaching his students. He had realized that this could be a wonderful way in helping his class stay focused and actually take something away from learning.  
This really grabbed my attention because this teacher took the time to make a connection with his students and in the end it helped his classroom as a whole. It is really important to inform the students that they aren't just students within a classroom but they are part of your family. However the classroom family doesn't just involve the teacher and the students ,it also involves the parents as well. Along with having parents involved within the classroom it is also very important to establish a set of guidelines for your class and the expectations that you require. For example:
- Be mindful of others 
- Turn in work on time 
- Come prepared

This quote stood out to me because even today we have trouble with trying to bring the races together. As a young child enters their school building the last thing that should be on their minds is their safety. When you have a school that is over run by police and security how do we expect kids to focus on their school work. And for this I wanted to bring to attention because of the principle mentioned within the video who was able to save her school for her students and help create a safe place for them to learn and succeed.

As a teacher you have the power to change a child's life forever. And its your attitude and personality that can alter this event. If you come in every day just wondering when winter break is you will not be completely there for your students leaving them short handed when it comes to learning. But if you were to go in the classroom every morning excited to learn and full of optimism you will see such a drastic change in your students, because as soon as they see that you want to be there they will start to gain the same perspective on school as well. Leading them to a higher chance at success.

 When it comes to violence it doesn't have to be physical. Words can hurt just as much as fists. As we have gone through the first semester of our education program, we have heard that social media has become a big part of a child's education. So much in fact that teachers have begun implementing new technologies within classrooms. This is important because times are changing and if we want our students to become successful we need to set them up for success and that includes teaching them about the various social medias and how they can be used for good and not bad.
