This in turn has caused humans and animals to be in closer quarters (for lack of a better term) and has caused animals to be driven out of their habitats. Due to the increase in proximity, this has contributed greatly to how diseases, viruses and other infections/bacteria are spreading.

According the the article, climate change alters environments quickly which is beneficial for virus mutation, growth and spread.. A planet going through climate change can also lead to stresses such as droughts that cause humans to be displaced and put in situations that can allow viruses to further mutate and spread quickly through a compromised or displaced population group.Virus and spread of it would be happening regardless, just maybe not at this rate- and climate change could also happen without human interaction but again not at this rate.
