I would often want to try and mimic these character’s lives and explorations within my own. This book is special because, as a child, it expands your knowledge about history. It also makes you feel as though you are apart of the books as well! What I remember the most was how confident I felt about reading these books. This was my first real successful attempt to read chapter books o my own. I also remember how unique my journey felt with these character, because I didn't need to read the books in order. Instead, I was able to choose which adventure we went on next!

This book is about the relationship of a young boy and an apple tree. As time progresses and the relationship between the two grows, the boy learn a very crucial lesson about the idea of being selfless and the concept of giving. This is book about true friendship!

I remember how this book made me feel very reflective. I am sure at the time, I just really enjoyed the story due to the intriguing plot. However, as I grew up, I noticed that this book impacted me in a different way each time I read it. In this sense, this concept made this book timeless to me. I think that the message of this book is very special in that everyone (no matter their age) can relate or learn something from it. Personally, I just remember my mother reading me this story at night before I went to bed. Whilst other books faded in and out, this book remained a constant in my collection!
