         <description><![CDATA[<div>By Macy, Jairo, Ulises, Naz<br>Imagine moving to another country and not knowing the language. A bunch of immigrants have to move from their countries. They’re not safe. People are having to leave their families everyday whether they have documents or not. The position they are put in because their government that they are forced to exist in as well as the American government itself is unfair. We should fight for reform in the immigration system. Their human rights are being violated and they have nowhere to go.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>By Liam and Deshaun<br>In our podcast we covered the issue that caught our interest which was poverty. We were able to interview people who have these struggles and listen to their views and stories. We also were able to connect poverty with the Declaration of Independence and how it says that people should have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and talked about how not everyone had the equal opportunity to obtain those rights. Some sources we used for information for this podcast was Wikipedia for the poverty line statistics. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>By Anish and Juneily<br>The laws that have to do with the regulation of weapons have to change for the insurance of our community. The violation of weapons is when people 🤬 or harm children and innocent people who go against the law. It has been recorded that there have been 47,220 incidents in the United States in 2018. For example, in the shooting that took place at the Florida school where 17 people died. As also on January 23, 2018, a 15-year-old boy killed two people and left 18 injured. It is a crime that is mostly committed by young people. Some of the people support the use of arms for their right according to the second amendment while others think that there should be control over the sale of arms. The use of the purchase of weapons is easier nowadays to obtain it and easier for a young person of less than 18 years to acquire a weapon which impacts the schools negatively. For example, there are people in some states who do not have a federal role and still can get the gun. It is the responsibility of the government to protect and ensure the welfare of the people and young people and demand some type of federal documentation.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” said in the Declaration of Independence. We used this document because it best shows the people’s stories and shows that this is just a document with words but they are not respected today. It is a paper that tells us what values we should have but it does not actually enforce it. We did this project to show racism has always been around and not everyone has the same opinion as one another but we all also don’t know the whole history and we should want to educate ourselves to understand it.  </div>]]></description>
