Happy Pills by the weathers

I chose this song because I believe it connects perfectly with this book because it sounds like it's coming from Cameron himself. Not only does Cameron have to take pills, but Nina also has to take pills aswell to help her depression so i also like this song from her point of view too. This song tells the story about taking pills to "seem normal" and I find this very relevant to the story.

I wouldn't say I'm exactly like Cameron, but I really do relate to him. When I was younger, people used to stare at me or make jokes because I could never pay attention in class. Cameron is a strong inspiration to many kids who have mental disabilities and I enjoyed his character development in this book.

Poem

I really find this poem aproppriate not only because it tells a story, but because it describes each character and their relationship with Cameron. The first sentence describes love, but the second sentence gives it a more clearer meaning because it talks about friendship, such as Cameron and Griffon's bond. The third part talks about Cameron's relationship with his parents because they always want him out of trouble. The fourth part could be about his obsession with the girl's voice inside his head and the next sentence is about his mission to keep that voice in his head when everyone else wants it gone. I want to believe the next part talks about Nina's thoughts however. Because Nina was diagnosed with depression, she she had to take pills aswell. She was full of greif and believed she was unloved resulting in her becoming friends with another outcast: Cameron. I think of Nina during the rest of the poem.
