Here is a great YouTube video to show what the campus of the school looks like. Teaching in a school for deaf and blind is a lot different compared to what we see in our traditional public schools, teachers have to use an entirely different form of communication. For students that are deaf, the teachers teach using sign language, but can also supply the students with technology they can use in which blind people can not use. What is different for the blind students compared to a traditional school is they need to do a lot of explaining, in the schools for the blind they need to make sure they describe everything possible.

In the school of deaf and blind, students here may feel like they are on a socially lesser level than someone who is not deaf nor blind. The importance of trying to put students in an environment where they feel like they are not uncomfortable is extremely important.

The difference in language is evident in a school for the deaf and blind versus in a public school. As far as for the blind, the language they have to use is very important in that everything has to be explained in as much detail as possible. While for the deaf, it is all sign language and being able to know and learn all sign language is crucial to ensuring you get the best learning.

Schools specifically for the deaf and blind are not common around the United States, therefore having a school in which students can go to a school and learn at the same level as someone with the same disability they have is very important. Every child should have education, and a school for the deaf and blind specifically is taking a step in the right direction in ensuring equality among all children, whether they have a disability or not, every child should be able to go to school comfortably and look forward to it.
