The magazine is about the youth dressed up as clown and being immature so having a playful curvy font suits well with it and shows a lot of relevance 

Agency FB is a great font choice for main text as its thin and tall , its also spacey , meaning that the letters are far apart from each other, this makes the font easy to read. Also its generally just a aesthetically pleasing font to look at. 

Century Gothic is a bold font that is curvy. These features will be relevant to the topic due to its less sophisticated lettering suits well with the youth themed magazine. however i would mainly use it as a subheading as its not the most appealing font to look at so enlarging it into a title font would be a bad idea and may look unprofessional. 

Niagara engraved is very similar to Agency FB , it has the same X height and they have the same features. They are both sans serif typefaces , however Niagara is much thinner and is harder to read , it would most definitely be used as a main text font however due to its thin features it may be hard for reader to see what has been displayed.

cooper STD is the strangest font iv'e chosen thus far as its a serif font that has special and abnormal serifs, its playful and suits the magazine topic very well. Its not too childish as it still has natural curves and an average X height. Its a bold font and is very great to look at as letters such as 'L' and 'g' have their own special letters that will be intrigued my audience 

Franklin Gothic medium is a standard sans serif font that has natural curves and a average x height. Its natural curves is what makes it such a popular font and its easy to read. This typeface will mainly be used for main text however its standard and can be seen too formal for a magazine. 

Gill sans ultra is a similar font too the Franklin Gothic typeface as its very abnormal and contains strange serifs , however Gill sans ultra is much thinner than the Franklin Gothic and the letters a tighter together. This typeface already being a bold font will make it hard to read due to the tight lettering. 

Chaparral pro is a funky serif font that has many curves a grooves, however these curves and serifs aren't stupidly exaggerated and thats what makes it good for this magazine cover. It will mainly be used for the main text.

This is more suitable as having playful fonts would make the matter less serious , however having bold fonts increases the professionalism of the magazine cover. 

Cooper STD is a serif font that is very thick and bold and has sharp corners and edges. Although it is a serif font , the thickness allows it to be less recognised and still brings in the element of seriousness as its such a big and bold font. This would be suitable for my titles and subheadings.

Myriad pro is a font suitable for capital letters and may be used for subheadings as it inst too bold , however still provides this serious intimidating effect due to its sharp edges and lack of curves. 

Agency FB bold is a great font to use when writing about serious matters that involves harsh realities such as knife crime and gangs. This font is a small font that only contains capitols. Already we know its meant for headings and subheadings due to its features being capital letters and sharp edges. The typeface is also very tight so maybe its not suitable for headings as it may be hard to see from afar .

Chapperel pro is a serif font that is effective when used for main text. its a very thin typeface with a average X height, its a tall font and is very easy to read. Being easy to read allows the audience to read easier and more efficiently .

Footlight MT and Cambria bold are similar fonts that contain very thin letter structures. They are easy fonts to read and are mostly going to be used for main text or even subheadings. Having sans serif fonts as a title makes the page less serious and that is not the impression i want for this magazine cover. Having the fonts in capitals brings a better and bolder effect. 

Eras bold ITC is a very thick and bold font especially when its in capitals. This sans serif font will be good to use for my magazine titles as its very noticeable and straight forward. it displays a simple and serious meaning to it and allows my audience to understand the subject isn't a fun topic to speak about, its a serious matter .

Garamond is another serif font that is very thin and is also very tall which makes it easier to read. Personally i feel the letters are very close together and in long distance it may be hard to read, therefore it may not be suitable for the large title typeface as you want a font thats really obvious and easy to read.

Copperplate Gothic bold is the simplest typeface of them all , its very bold and has nothing to it apart from straight lines and sharp edges, the unnatural curves which is perfect for the title text as i need something that will be noticed at first glance and when up close.

Finally Myriad variable concept is another sans serif font that is really sharp and bold. it stands out easy especially when in capitals the letter spacing is good. This typeface will be used for my subheadings. I will not use these for headings as they arnt bold enough.

the photograph i am trying to sketch out on Photoshop.  The tool i used for my design was the line tool. this tool enabled me to connect line throughout my sketch so when every line was connected it became a fitted design. using a white background layer behind the image allowed me to trace over the image and when done i could remove the image and a traced outline of the poppy would show on the
