The climate in Ancient Egypt was hot and sandy. It was a very hard place to live in. The land itself was rough and bumpy, so it was definitely a struggle to build things on top of it. Around ancient Egypt, it was mostly flat. There were some hills and mountains in different parts but there main source was the Nile River.

The Nile River surrounding Ancient Egypt effected the civilization because it made it harder for other invaders to get in. The very dry land made it difficult to plant crops if it wasn’t near the water. Most of the resources came from the Nile River, because they lived in a desert so it was very lucky that they had that kind of landform.

The key features of ancient Egypt were the Niles river, valley of the kings, black lands, the red sea, deserts, the Mediterranean sea. Ancient Egyptians relied mostly on the Nile River and the seas because those resources really helped them. The valley of kings held most of their tombs, it was a vast land. “Though Egypt had a vast desert terrain, the Nile River flows like lifeblood. As it floods its banks every year, it waters a ribbon of rich land on either side.”

Ancient Egyptians created the first 365 day calendar which we still use to this day. Another thing that the ancient Egyptians created that we still use today is hieroglyphic alphabet we don’t really use hieroglyphics anymore but we do use a alphabet.
Hieroglyphs have influenced other cultures to make writing and art. The Rosetta Stone helped is decipher the Egyptian language. Also they have inspired other civilizations to have astronomy. “The same text was written in the three scripts in use at the time:hieroglyphics,Demotic, and Greek. Widespread knowledge of greek gave clues to the other two scripts.” -Rosetta Stone.
They used makeup and a lot of people today use makeup. The Egyptians created paper which almost everyone use on a daily basis. They used something to tell time. The Egyptians used statues and large monuments like we use today. “That Ancient Egyptian society has passed into history, but we still use some ancient Egyptian inventions, and we do many of the same things they did.”

The social structure of Ancient Egypt was organized through wealth, and through bloodlines. The more good and riches, the higher you are in the social structure. It also depends on your role in the society. First was the pharaohs and kings, then the high priests and district governors, then the scribes, and then farmers and laborers. The bottom of the social structure was the slaves.

The slaves and the less fortunate definitely had some disadvantages in the social hierarchy. The rich got better afterlife plans, they got to be mummified and had nicer tombs. Mostly, mummification depended on your place in the social structure. If you were part of the royalty, then you got a very nice tomb and many riches with it, but you got less and less lower in the hierarchy.

The social classes in Ancient Egypt were different because if you were wealthy and had a lot of riches, you would be able to afford mummification and if you weren’t very wealthy, you would not have as much power. Kings and queens had the best reputation and the slaves had the lowest. “The king was considered a divine being, part human and part god.” The wealthy didn’t have to do as much work and labor as the commons people.

The Ancient Egyptians had a monarchy with pharaohs. The power in Egypt was passed down through blood. The king was the head of the military and government. “Once a pharaoh gained the throne, he ruled for life.”
The Ancient Egyptians could rise and fall due to their bad structure of political power and from wars. A bad pharaoh or king could topple their civilization. They were also competing with several other dynasties for their land. On top of that the Asiatic Hyksos widespread Ancient Egypt and caused trouble. When the pharaoh died and there was no clear ruler it would disrupt Egypt. “Beginning around 3100 bcd the period was a time of ambitious rulers who supervised a quickly developing civilization.”
The Egyptians political structure was a bit unfair at times and some of the rules weren’t that fair and not everyone was treated equally. They could have a bad ruler because power was passed down by blood. Lower class people died at 30 while higher class people died at 60. When a pharaoh bloodline died out Egypt would become drastic and in confusion. “Sometimes a family’s power was disrupted. The the world fell into chaos and confusion.”

The ancient Egyptians influenced other civilizations to trade. Some evidence that supports this is that ancient Egypt had lots of metal to trade with other countries. A resource that the Egyptians had was the Nile river and because of that they used the crops that they made from it to trade. Ancient Egypt inspired using art and trading resources.
There were golds and riches found in the pyramids and the mummies had a lot of materials that the ancient Egyptians used. As well as using the Nile river for trade the used it to carry goods.
They brought a lot of wealth through trading Because they had more important resources than other civilizations. they found and used treasures such as gold, copper, amethyst, garnet, etc and because of this they were a very wealthy civilization.
They grew/found Gold, garnet, crops, ivory, and many other things. They grew wheat. If you where in the upper class you would most likely be trading/buying gold and ivory.
