  • There were two cousins and they made a business called Binny and Smith paper was expensive in the 1800s and the things Edwin invented we’re not colorful his wife encouraged him to make crayons He made a new material. The first crayons were made in Europe and they were made of charcoal and oil so they broke easily they used the pigments in rocks natural dye they started mixing colors too so they made the company and they won a gold medal.
