         <description><![CDATA[<div>Attacks killed 2996 people, injured over 6000 others and caused at least US$10b in infrastructure and property damage. This event orchestrated by Al Qaeda (headed by Osama bin Laden) put the concept of 'Islamic Terrorism' on the radar of everyone in the world. Subsequently, the US launched a 'War on Terror' by invading Afghanistan and later on, Iraq, and many countries strengthened their anti-terrorism legislation and imposed additional security measures to prevent a terrorist attack in their country. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>United Kingdom withdraw itself from the European Union with the majority vote of 51.9% to leave in 2016. This decision was spearheaded by the UK Independence Party. As of now, talks and negotiations has started between UK and EU with the whole withdrawal culminating in March 2019. The result of this referendum came as a surprise to many knowing the potential severity of the consequences (e.g. immigration and economy). Regardless, this has contributed to the rising trend in populism around the world.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
