The Author is Natalie Babbitt
The director is Jay Russell
One of the key events is when Winnie Foster goes and meets the Tucks Miles does not like her at first but then he likes her. Then Jesse and Winnie fall in love and Jesse takes out and they talk. Then Miles shows up and they tell Winnie about the spring, then Miles starts to talk about how his wife left him and how his house/farm burned down.
The time in the movie looked like it was present day, the time in the book was like in the 1800 or the 1900.
The Characters are Winnie, Jesse, Mae, Miles, and Angus are the characters in the story.
When Winnie ran away from her house and found the Tucks well she actually found Jesse and then Miles came and he said that they have to kidnap her because his father said that if any one came on there territory then they would have to kidnap her.
One of the things that happend in the movie but not in the book is when Jesse showed Winnie the Eiffel Tower and climbed up the super tall mountain so that they could see the Eiffel Tower in a more beautiful ways, then after that he took her to the water were they jumped off.
One of the thoughts that I had about the movie is why did the man in the yellow suit try shoot Jesse?

Title: Tuck Everlasting
Author: Natalie Babbitt
Director: Jay Russell
Summary: A little girl named Winnie ran away because she is bored , she meets a family that can't die which is the Tucks. They talk about the importance of living and dying.
Time/Place: Both of them take place in Tree Gap . The movie takes place in the late 1900's but the book takes place in the late 1800's.
Characters: Winnie in the book is 10 years old girl that was bored, caring, privileged, and brave. She was the same in the movie but much older. Jesse Tuck in the movie and book is childlike, nice and adventurous. Miles Tuck in the book was easy going and calm , but in the movie he is angry and sad. Mae and Angus Tuck in the movie and the book were both very welcoming and nice to Winnie.
Plot: Winnie runs away because she is bored . Then she gets kidnapped by Mae Jesse and Miles. The Tucks reveled the secret once they kidnapped her, the story also mentions that Miles family had abandoned him. Then Mae goes to jail for 🤬 , Jesse Miles and Winnie break her out , but now they have to go someplace very far away so Jesse gives the water to drink at 17 but she gives it to a frog and Winnie lives to be 78 years old .In the movie the plot was Winnie runs away because she doesn't want to go to boarding
school and Winnie gets kidnapped by only Miles, it still mentions how miles family abandoned him. The Tucks secret wasn't reveled till later . then Mae and angus go to Jail instead of just Mae Jesse miles and Winnie break them out in a
different way. Instead of Jesse giving Winnie the water he tells her to drink the water but she doesn't drink the water and lives to be 100 years old.
Add-on/Omitted : The movie took out the were Winnie the water to the frog, the movie also added were Jesse and Winnie kiss and climb what Jesse calls the "Eiffel Tower".
Conclusion: On general I think every movie is better than the book because movies just show a lot more detail than the book so I thought the movie was better than the book cause it's much more interesting than a book.

Winnie ran away from home in the forest and met Jesse, Mae, and Miles
by the spring. Winnie starts to like Jesse and they go on crazy adventures. The man in the yellow suit tells Winnie's parents that he knows where Winnie is. The police and the man in the yellow suit found the Tucks and put Mae and Angus Tuck in jail. Winnie, Miles, and Jesse make a plan to get Mae and Angus out.
The year is in the 1800's or in the 1900's. The setting is different because Winnie is 10 in the book but 15 in the movie. Jesse is 17 in the book and in the movie. Mae and Angus Tuck was visiting the boys in the country. In the book she was with the boys in the country.
Jesse is 17 in the movie and in the book. Winnie is 15 in the movie but 10 in the book. Miles is a lot sadder about losing his wife and children in the movie. Miles is not that sad about losing his wife and children in the book. Miles is acting mean to Winnie in the movie but acting nice in the book. Jesse is in love with Winnie in the book and in the movie.
The plot in the book nothing happened between Winnie and Jesse. In the movie Winnie and Jesse kiss. In the movie the man in the yellow suit shoots Jesse. In the book the man in the yellow suit does not shoot Jesse. In the movie Mae and Angus do not go in jail. In the book only Mae goes to jail. There is to many scenes in the movie that were not in the book.
The scenes that were not in the book is the kissing scene, the playing scene, the Eiffel Tower scene, the scene that Mae and Angus were visiting Miles and Jesse only Mae goes to jail, man in the yellow suit does not have a gun, and there is a brick well. My opinion in both the movie an in the book I liked them both. The movie had some parts that I did not like but I still liked it. I think the book was better because it does not have the parts I did not like.

Kate RileyComparing & Contrasting a Book and Movie InstructionsTitle: Tuck Everlasting Author: Natalie Babbitt Director: Jay Russell.Summary: A girl gets bored and leaves her house. She saw a family the Tuck family and heard their family secret. The girl Winnie stays there for a little and one of the Tucks, Miles had kids but his wife left him and his kids. Jesse Tuck and Winnie Foster have feelings for each other. May mom of the Tucks was trying to save the secret and Winnie but she got arrested. Time and Place: The movie starts backwards it shows the end and then shows the beginning but the book has a different beginning. The movie has a motorcycle and not a horse. Winnie left because of school in the book she was bored. In the movie Miles was more sad and angry about his family leaving. For Winnie there was a search party and in the book there wasn't. In the movie there was kissing and in the book has nothing that makes them together. They took out Jesse climbing up the window and changed how the man and the yellow suit found out about the Tucks. Also in the movie Jesse and Winnie go to the "Eiffel Tower." They are similar by they have the same main idea. Also it took place in Tree Gap in 1800. When Winnie dies in the book she is 78 and in the movie she is 100.Characters: Winnie is 10 in the book and 15 in the movie.Jesse is 17 in both and basically the same in the book and movie.Miles seems older than what they said in the book.May is more lean than what they said in the book.Angst seems less happy and more sad than what Natalie Babbitt said.Add on: They added the "Eiffel Tower'' and the part where the man in the yellow suit follows them to the train. The movie did it started backwards but then went to the beginning. Jessie was the only one to visit Winnie. Conclusion: I prefer to read the book. The book makes it so Miles is less sad and the picture in my head is what makes it better for me. If you can't picture it watch the movie. Both have the same main idea.

The man in the yellow suit comes to take Winnie back May kills him.My Opinion: I don't like the book because Winnie is 10 and Jesse is 17 years old and they like each other but in the book she is 15 and Jesse is 17 a little better. The book says that Jesse gives her a bottle of the spring water
so she can drink it when she was 17 so she can become immortal like them but she never drank it.

Title: Tuck Everlasting
Author:Natalie Babbit
Director:Jay Russell

Summary: Winnie a ten year old girl runs away cause she is bored of being cooped up in a house. She runs away then she gets kidnapped by Miles,May,and,Jesse tuck they tell her the secret about the spring.May gets arrested for murdering the man in the yellow suit and is sent to the gallows.
Movie summary:It starts off jesse in the 2000.Winnie runs away because she going to be sent to boarding school Miles and Jesse kidnap Winnie .They sent a searching party for Winnie. The man in the yellow found the tucks and runs off to get them he takes Winnie only to get hit with a shotgun and die.
Time/place:In the book it takes place in the late 1800s in the movie it takes place in the early 1900s because they had early cars.
Charters:May was plump, motherly ,Caring, kind in the book In the movie she was not plump,Less motherly except for one scene,She was still caring and kind.Miles was more excepting that he was never going to die in the book in the movie he was like tuck it is like they switched roles he was always sad and tuck was more excepting though.
Plot:The plot is basically the same. They are both about how Winnie runs away she discovers a family who is invincible she gets sent to be looked for by The man in the yellow suit finds Winnie. He tries to get the water but dies by getting hit in the head with a shotgun.
Add-ons: They added a scene with Jesse and Winnie going to an Eiffel Tower not the actual one but yeah so the scene is used for development between them for love.I also forgot they added a scene in the beginning where Jesse is riding to a house in the year 2000.
Conclusion:The book was great the characters really played their roles. The plot made really feel bad for the tucks knowing they would see all their friends die. It was the only reason i didn't hate when recess ended it really showed how close Winnie got to the tuck in the span for a couple of days so over all great. The movie was good not as good as the book but okay i didn't like how Angus and May weren't there as much I am pretty sure that they only got like 10 to 20 minutes of screen time.I Get that Winnie gets a lot of screen time because she is our main character but Jesse was like there almost for the movie that's just me probably.

Tuck Everlasting
Natalie Babbitt is the author and the director is Jay Russel.
Winnie runs away and gets kidnapped by Miles Tuck, then Winnie starts to like them, but The Man in The Yellow Suit tells Winnie's family that he knows where she is and they go out to find her then Mae and Angus go to the gallows for killing the Man in the Yellow suit. Later everyone else goes to create a distraction to free Mae and Angus, when they free them they go to leave Winnie.
Time/Place
In the movie it was placed near the Tucks house and in the late 1900s.
In the book it is placed in the early 1800's throughout the whole woods.
Characters
In the book Winnie was 10 years old, but in the movie she was 15. She was also very happy and caring.
Jesse is adventurous and caring in both the book and the movie .
Mae and Angus are both very maternal and are motherly and fatherly to Winnie.
Plot
The plots are the same because they are both focusing on Winnie and Jesse and their relationship
Add-on / Omitted
The scene where Jesse and Winnie are climbing what Jesse calls the "Eiffel Tower."
Conclusion
I think the movie is better because you can have more details but you should read the book before you watch the movie.
