   After reading The Hunger Games, Suzane Collins wants me to know that discrimination against the poor is a very terrible thing. We also need to find new ways to stop this horrible tragedy, the starvation of many, tones of people.

  In order to get the food they need, the people of Panem have to put their names on a ballet and into a bowl. The more their name goes into the bowl, the greater chance they'll have of getting chosen to fight in the Annual Hunger Games. Which is terrible thing to watch your kids go into. If you child is chosen you get an hour max. to say goodbye and the only way you'll ever see them again is over the television fighting for not only their life but for their district as well or if they win the games.

" All year, the Capitol will show the winning district gifts of grains and oil and even delicacies like sugar while the rest of us battle starvation."
  After one of the districts win, they receive gifts. The other districts have to face starvation while they watch the winning district enjoy their winning prize.  The reason why they said what they said, is because the more food the children's parents need the more times their child's names goes into the bowl.   Katniss volunteers her self to take over her sister Prims place. Katniss mentioned that if Prim were to ever go into the arena where the Hunger Games takes place she'll never have the chance to win. So Katniss took over to make sure that Distict Twelve wins and after the big win their whole district will receive the gift of food, not only does their district win the gifts. " Even thought trespassing in the woods is illegal and poaching carries the severest of penalties, more people would risk it if they had weapons."
 No matter what the consequences were for trespassing the woods Katniss still did what she needed to do. She did it to keep her family from starvation, from the depressing fact that if she doesn't come home with any kills then their family will starve.
