However, it can also cause us a lot of harm if there is overexposure.

Why would it cause us harm?

The cells found in the superficial part of all our skin are affected by ultraviolet rays, this damage increases if there is little presence of melatonin.

It is also important that we use sunscreen to avoid these damages such as premature aging or skin cancer.

Another important recommendation is to avoid exposure to the sun's rays for a prolonged period of time between 10am and 2pm.

Sun exposure is crucial for vitamin D production and stimulates the formation of melanin, acting as a defense against harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. While sunlight has benefits such as inducing a tan, overexposure can lead to sunburn and premature aging. Individuals with lower melanin levels are more susceptible to burns and have an increased risk of skin cancer. Taking preventive measures, including using sunscreen, protective clothing, and regular skin checks, is essential to detect potential skin health issues early on.

The pigment melanin is produced in the cells of the outer layer of the skin, which protects the skin from the sun's rays. It is said that a person's tan is due to the skin producing more melanin when exposed to the sun. Over time, this colour fades.

In addition, it is mentioned that the main cause of skin cancer is frequent exposure to ultraviolet rays and this is a disease that should not be taken lightly.

The sun emits ultraviolet (UV) radiation, and other forms of energy. Sunlight exposure can have both beneficial and harmful effects on your skin. For example:

It is mentioned that the skin uses sunlight to produce vitamin D, which is important for normal bone formation. But also ultraviolet light causes significant damage to the skin. The outer layer of the skin has cells that contain the pigment melanin, which protects the skin from the sun's rays.

Ultraviolet rays can burn the skin and reduce its elasticity, causing premature ageing.

They recommend that a little light is good, but always have adequate protection against overexposure to the sun, as it can cause sunburn or worse, skin cancer.

How Does The Sunn Affect Your Skin?

Ultravioltes Light can significant damage to skin, since the outer layer of the skin contains melanin and this proyects the skin from the suns rays.

Ultraviolet rays can burn the skin and reduce its elasticity which causes faster skin aging.Likewise , too much exposure to the sun rays causes sunburn since they penetrate the innermost layers where they can damage or kill skin cells especially in people who do not have enoucht melanin

therefore it is imporntan to use suncreen alone and cover sensitive areas that are exposed tp the sun during times where radition is highstest.

since if the necessary care is not given skin cancer cann occur as result of frequent exposure to ultraviolet rays , which why it is important to check our skin and detect any type of stain in time and resort to early treatments.
