This week we called the ReQpet headquarters, we have been informed that the pick-up truck arrives JANUARY 24TH.
We have some good news to share... We have collected our first 1000 lids= 1 Chemotherapy!!

Plenty of things have happened during this week:
First of all, the pick-up truck arrived on tuesday and we have collected 21KG more, as for now we have accumulated a sum of 71 ReQPuntos!
An Email has been sent to Ms Ana and Dani Parli (12th grade representative) with instructions on how we plan do the contest. (We are still waiting for Armando's answer)
For the banco de tapitas, we'd like to inform that on thursday during second recess we collected lids from the first floor and the patio area.
The banco de tapitas has been contacted on wednesday and has provided us with the next information:
- Any number of tapitas is accepted for donations
- They have given us several locations in cancun where we can give out our donations, with the specific adress and hours of delivery.

This week the ReQpet truck arrived and collected a total of 18 kilos of bottles. Since it arrived earlier than what was anticipated the bottle containers filled up really fast on the days after its arrival; therefore, we collected more bottles from the containers this thursday and friday.

This past Tuesday and Wednesday we collected bottles from all the baskets in the school (including the big ones in the outdoor area)

This week the ReQpet truck arrived and we received a receipt of 22 recupoints!!! That´s 4kilos more than last time.
We are noticing that students are getting more used to placing the bottles in their required containers and now there are even less bottles with leads since more people are putting them in the small containers.
This Friday after the Senior pictures, one of our team members also collected bottles to place in the ReQpet container so I would like to give a special mention to Nancy who, in the name of the team, passed by the school to help with the bottles.

We are happy to inform you that we have noticed a decrease in the use of plastic bottles at school during this week. Seeing as our main concern is to reduce the use of plastic this is a very good sign. We collected several bottles from their containers and placed them in the ReQpet box. This week we received notice of the truck's arrival the past friday and we are happy to say that we received a total of 98 reqpuntos!!!

For this last week of school we took care of the last things for reQpet after the Eagle House field day:
- We collected the bottles from the classrooms and from the three containers at the patio
- We also collected the remaining lids from the school, 695 in total, which where delivered to the Centro de acopio.
It was a great experience to work this entire school year in this project and hope that our legacy goes on through the years.
We honestly hope for the next generations to keep up with the hard work!
