This world is Dark and more realistic looking from coralines world. It also exaggerates the size of things with the buildings and plants being huge. The main difference would be how both are created and directed. Coraline used a series of stop motions to create the film and uses many puppets and approaches. Many approaches were used as they had hundreds of facial features and hands. They created a full set dedicated to the move and painted the background and made the Pink Palace her house from the ground up. A small world became a huge reality for the making of the movie. Many edits and countless do-overs helped the movie flourish,  Sculptures, painters, and voice actors all came into play while making the movie. Actors had to voice their lines in rooms while puppeteers moved the frame of the doll by frame to match their mannerisms and actions. Alice in Wonderland the 2010 film was directed with live-action and CGI. Costume designers and makeup artists were on set to help with the shooting. The film was created like any other live-action film with the actors knowing their roles and editors making the CGI come to life.

I look at where im at and think of where I could be and how much fun I could be having. Our stories startrted similarly because when I was a kid I moved from Arizona to California where I knew nobody. Just like Coraline I found my tunnel to a better world My tunnel was having fun doing things like playing handball. Playing handball in elementry is where I met my friends and realized California was not so bad. Two majors one’s though that I felt and saw were taking for granted the things I have, and overcoming different trial and errors. In the movie I can see that Coraline loves her “second mom” and when she first appears in the other world she is blown away and in awe at the things she has. Coraline makes an effort to go back and when she is stuck in her own reality. She shows little interest and no emotion to her parents because shes ignored, doesn’t get what she wants, or imagines how things might go in that other world she visits. She dreams about it and actually makes effort to go back unlike her own reality. She later than regrets going and wishes to go back as she finds out the real reason why her “second mother” wants her there and fleas home. Coraline wishes to go home and immediately regrets going and we can see that she took her reality and family for granted. Times where I’m told to do a chore, or go run errands I wish I would flea from my house or be in a different time period in which I’m happy and relaxing. As soothing as this sounds i really don’t wish this because my mom and brother wouldn’t be there with me and my world would crumble. Leaving that much responsibility and adulthood to me is scary and having my family there by my side to help me is what I’m most thankful for. Days in which they leave and I’m all alone by myself, I itch for their presence and love. I do take them for granted from time to time and days in which they are there with me I thank them and spend most of my time with them. I wish I could fix my error but for now I wont thank them for granted and I am blessed to have them.
Another aspect I am able to identify from Coraline’s life is her overcoming trails and errors. Her defeating her “second mother” and finding the ghost eyes shows here determination to beat her second mother and win the game she made with her. Im able to reflect on her actions and mindset because when situations become heavy and your future is uncertain you’ll do whatever it takes. Coraline goes above and beyond saving her parents with some assistance from the cat. What she showed me was a bit of myself. When I’m down or having situations arise, I lock in and try my best to defeat or overcome these situations. Tests, homework, personal problems, or even college admissions worry me and give me this sense of doubt. Some people might ignore it or give up but I tackle these problems head on and don’t run away from them. Even if i don’t come out on top I try and try again.
