I will always shout " All Eyes On Me" 
Students will respond " All Eyes On You"
I will repeat again " All Eyes On Me" if I do not get everyone's attention.
Once I get everyone's attention, I will say thank you to all students.
If I do not get everyone's attention, I will acknowledge that most of them give me their attention. But some students are still distracted by the stream(example).
By doing so, I acknowledge the area that they have to work steer them in the right direction without sounding assertive.

In the beginning of the cap, i will teach the students a cue. Whenever i clap 5 times, in a rhythmic tone (pap- pa pa pap pa), all the students will response with 2 claps. This will be repeated again, to get almost everyone’s response.

I will usually empower my students , the notorious loud and noisy one especially to be my “class monitor”.

Always get the the loud students to be my “keep volume down-keeper” and usually I pair up  “troublemakers” with the quiet students in my group in completing a certain task. When out on journey I get one loud student to pair up with the quiet one to be their safety person. 

Funny how end up the ones suppose to be quiet is talkative n vice versa.  Also one tip I learn is to use the troublemakers students to my advantage. Give them task to do , keep them occupied, they love power and in control  so might as well give them things to do to my favour and also to boost their confidence and esteem/ego idk ?

For me to set tone in the very beginning during initiation is critical. I do mention it’s a safe space  and we could share whatever information without being judged. 

Also I love to share the 5 finger rule contract as a way of guide of them to follow certain rules in the camp. My area my place hence students have to abide by the rules and failure to comply, I will give them 2 warning before giving them the ultimatum punishment (UP).

Warnings giving in a form of reminders like “hey remember what we agreed on in the very beginning of camp”.  UP will be in a form of having lesser breaks/shorter breaks.
