He almost escaped but a police guard on a bicycle caught him after he aroused suspicion.&nbsp; He was sent to Majdanek. He was tricked into volunteering for a “work farm” and was sent to Auschwitz.&nbsp;</strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Vrba later in life went to Britain, where he&nbsp; then worked at the Neuropsychiatric Research Unit at Carshalton, Surrey. He then worked for the Medical Research Council. He gave testimony at the Eichmann&nbsp; trial and also wrote a series of articles for the Daily Herald, which led to his vivid memoir, I cannot forgive.</div><div>In 1967 Vrba moved to the University of British Columbia, where he then went to Harvard Medical Schoo. He became professor of pharmacology. He went on to produce 50 research papers on the chemistry of the brain, diabetes and cancer.5.</div><div>&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
