I was excited that we would get a lot of time out of school. At first, Ithought Covid was going to be something minor and the problem was that it was just spreading a lot. I also thought online school would be a lot easier and simple. Turns out, I was wrong about these things. I found out people were being hospitalized and dying from Covid and I realized it wasn’t just some small sickness. I also realized that online school was an absolute nightmare. You sat there and just listened to your teacher the whole time and half the time it was glitching. Assignments online were an absolute pain, they didn’t give us less work. Honestly it felt like they were giving us more. When I learned that we were going to go to school in person next year (7th grade) I was so relieved. Before Covid I was some cringe anime kid in 6th grade. I still like anime now but I’m more mature about it and don’t have anymore of those “anime phases” 💀. I’ve changed for the better, I believe. I have a better understanding of myself and what I’m like. I know my personality a lot better than I did before. I’m happy with the ways that I’ve turned out. I think most of these changes were from stuff I thought about but didn’t realize I thought about until a certain point in my life. Although there are some things that I discovered about me or others that sometimes I wish I didn’t. I always thought TV shows exaggerated the activities and behaviors of teenagers (they still do kinda), but when I became one myself I realized that most of that stuff was true. But in all honesty I’m glad I’ve grown.
