There are several differences between the two about conceptions of knowledge such as: A culturally relevant teacher is passionate about what they are teaching, they help their students develop the necessary skills it takes to become successful, knowledge is viewed critically, and is continuously recreated. Ladson- Billing (2009) A culturally relevant teacher will help children understand not just teach for the test. Teachers will have children engage in more critical thinking concepts rather than just memorize lessons. This image below is just showing a few of the many things a teacher will incorporate into their classrooms to help children become successful.

"We may not be able to prepare the future for our children, but we can at least prepare our children for the future." (Franklin D. Roosevelt) By we as teachers doing our best to ensure that our children succeed in school, we are paving a way for all of our students future. We are ensuring that our students will grow up and make a difference in our communities. Margaret Rossi " There is no way for me to have a secure future, if they don't have one" she's implying that when our children grow up they one day will be taking care of us. They will be our doctors, our pharmacist, they will be our senators. We have to make sure we are doing what we can so that so that society continues on.

In this video Megan Olivia talks about the importance of parent and teacher relationship. In her years of teaching one thing she always saw was parents and teachers always want their children to succeed. By teachers building a close relationship with parents the children are benefiting because the teacher is learning what needs they might need to make sure they succeeds.
