Ladson- Billing (2009) A culturally relevant teacher will help children understand not just teach for the test. Teachers will have children engage in more critical thinking concepts rather than just memorize lessons. We are ensuring that our students will grow up and make a difference in our communities. They will be our doctors, our pharmacist, they will be our senators. In her years of teaching one thing she always saw was parents and teachers always want their children to succeed.
